There seems to be a standing debate concerning exactly how the artifact was made,

or at least there was.

Additionally, there is a consensus that the material, if it IS quartz, would fracture if you made it with modern tools. I think carving is out of the possibilities based on the fact that the skull is completely fracture or crack free..

@djoh0000 I saw a video of some Japenese or Chinese scientist seeing if he could make the skulls with todays technology and he did it in a few days. Look it up on YouTube or Google search it.

Way too many assumptions on peoples minds and we don't know everything like we assume we do, so we think if we cannot do it today then they could not back then, but this isn't true. There are techniques they probably used that were never thought of by others for whatever reason.
