All I know about Rush is once in a while when I tune into his show, a caller is asking him to explain something that he has said that has been 'proven wrong' by several news media. Bush had about three months left in his term, months in which he had roughly 20% of the population not actively hating him. Bush was utterly paralyzed by then, there was nothing he could do. Of course, 'nothing' is better than Obama's "Let's throw $787 billion dollars at it" approach which did NOTHING for the economy, it just leveraged people's fear to give Obama the ability to bulldoze massive sums into all his liberal wishes. The Tonight Show having consistently better ratings than Letterman has nothing to do with Jay Leno being better, and everything to do with Leno catering more to 90 year olds who wake up to pee and then decide to flip on the TV to the Tonight Show while they're up, and sit and watch the show wondering where Johnny Carson is. Notice that everyone in the comedy world considers Letterman to be better than Leno. Even Conan O'Brien on NBC heaps praise on Letterman and barely mentions Leno.
