I like what his knees do on the downswing and during impact. He bends the knees to start the downswing then they get straight. I've been trying this for the past few days and I've been crushing it.
Annoys my shite all these wankers arsing about here, criticising his swing and talking as if they go out shooting 59 every week. These are the same arseholes that you find sitting in the clubhouse every week, talking a good game while they play of 22handicap.
@Repete255 Just cause he came from the inside doesn't mean he hit a draw. Do you think he's gonna come over the top like a 20 handicap? No. His feet are aligned left of his target and he clears his hips a little early which equals a cut
Over rotates his hips and shoulders early so he cant pressure the shaft post impact, hence the hip and pivot stall through the ball and the flipped club after it. Now who can say he'd improve if he sorted that out, it's not ideal but who's to pick holes?
I think he was playing a bit of a cut, i wish we had more angles to look at, these guys adapt to so many variables i find it douchey to hate on that swing without more information
great vid thanks Carl, regarding his foot, it does lift but thats cos his hitting a long iron and it generating power, whats interesting to me and something ive been working on is it really seems hes pulling from his left arm instead of pushing through with his right, can anyone comment ?, i mean it would be a big difference ....
Ben Hogan wrote his first article in Esquire's First Sports Reader he asked Chick Evans " Is there one idea that has stood the test of time " Evans reply " a pulling of the muscles back of my left shoulder when the downswing is getting under way " Carl Welty
@lasherza Yep I agree. The only way to maintain spine angle long into the follow through is to pull with the left side (arm and obliques). The club moves in the opposite direction when rotational forces are applied-so if you want the club to move toward the target youve got to apply the force in the totally opposite direction. in reality he is pushing a little with his right, otherwise he'd lose out on power and hence speed, but the left side is more dominant.

@Repete255 looks like a little cut to me. All pros play cuts and draws from inside-they don't play fades from over the top!

@Weltycarl Derp... There are more people needing to know how to golf than professional golfers... Logic fail.

@gmonkey808 It's because the clubhead is a few inches behind to begin with, its hard to see from this angle.
