When I was a kid, my parents took me to Doumar's. In my parents' final years, I took them. Doumar's is still a must stop whenever I'm back in Norfolk.  Because I'm there so infrequently, my order's always the same -- two bar-b-q sandwiches with slaw, an order of fries and a carbonated limeade.

I just visited Doumars yesterday. I rode in on my Harley under sunny skies and ordered the Minced Bar B Que sandwich with French Fries and a Coke. And of course, a chocolate cone. Mmmmm.... mmmmmm!

Lime juice, citric acid, simple syrup, then it sounds like he says sugar water but I have to think it was soda/carbonated water.
