a water works? kinda small swales and a small pond? ofcourse with terracing and the water snaking through the whole place? decorated with rocks? whaddaya think?
Thanks for the suggestion! I have started to terrace it but your lettus and tomatoes idea is great Thanks! I have been pre starting beans and want to have a wall off beans and peas at the back I hope.
I always wanted a fruit wall... but maybe it's not enough sun? fruit wall, terrace that slop, evestrof that car port to feed the water into it.. that's what I'd want to do!
down near the bottom could put lettuce and some taller crops in front like tomatoes right along your path for easy picking, and I bet they would have full sun there. That would give greens a nice little cool/shady gully and the higher terraces would still get lots of light =)
I'm gonna make 4 feet wide strips separated by two feet wide walking space from east to west in my whole backyard...I'll be posting a vid of it soon. But it's not a ''by the book" permaculture.
