It is thanks to x-rows that I knew and liked this music so beautiful. Now, as soon as I hear him, I think of the part of Mulder, which finds her liked sister, Samantha and her, which finds him, all this in front of the children who were killed, also, by the same killer as that of Samantha. It is my favorite part, that her more beautiful, the one who expresses at the same time the sadness of Mulder, because he knows that she died, but also the liberation: she is happy. Long live X-FILES!
someone get back to me if you know the song in which this is sampled from...ive heard the full peice before but cant seam to find any info via google about the samples origin just people looking like me...i want the original without moby's input - thanking you
This stick is truth, potent it's mrs.ruth. It'll pimp smack you up, back you up. When I'm right I think enough. When I'm wrong I don't see enough. When I sing, I don't bring ehough. When I'm king, I'll be sat with 9inch bling. When I ring, I wana hear you swing When I'm on the brink remember to think. Who was the contester, Me or You. You know too, we're so broke through. I'm Battered I'm Scared, Having a mare. I can't see, I'm blind, I can't be fair.
Look, It's the sadness That I speak. The kinda shit that fuels my serious beat. I'm not here to stand on my own two feet. People just gotta realise when to take a seat. We've fucked it, The countries clucked it. I'm going under, just like the flash a thunder. Struck these street's, People stood wonder. We've gotta carry on if we're ever gonna click. Stop that curse and fuck taking the mick. We're all the same, just remember you prick. Now I take this stick, it's my glory my fury. I
this makes me think of a hundred souls traveling to the other side as they sing to their love ones. (this bings back really good memories of my parents when they were together)
Reminds me of hiking up a 1 mile and half high mountain with 50 lb backpack struggling to keep p hydrated and calluses and blisters s off my my feet while keepping my feet dry during the rain coming down on the appalachian Mt. Siler bald. the 36 mile traill didn't help my feet either lmao.
the true nature of this song can be happy or sad. sandness grows more inside me since ive lost so much, but in all i still have GOD. and i will keep him with me forever so to all non believers i have no pity your soulsare done lost.
remember those days? those long beautiful summer evenings? when breathing actually ment something and life was worth living? well it all came back to me when i played this track. thanks a trillion x
I watched 6 of my warrior brethern perish in Afghanistan and after they flew home on the Angel Flight, I listened to this song. All I could do is close my eyes and visualize them walking down the trail to Fiddler's Green and as they approached the camp, the fallen warriors from before stood at attention saluting them while they walked in slow motion to take their place amongst this Hall of Honor. At Ease soldier. I will take it from here.
This reminds me of what it would sound like if you died in a car accident. You are going 40 on a regular street road, and someone swerves into your lane and hits you head on. You die on impact and an angel greets you to take you home. You hear this song...
I heard this first on an old Transworld skate video, in an injuries montage and remember Neal Mims splitting his eyebrow open while trying to trick down like 12 stairs.
this song always gives me goosebumps. i cant describe the feeling it brings. the best i can say is that it is one of the most beautiful pieces of music ever writtten.
man, i was playing this one day, i'll never forget it. i heard a faint noise behind me, it was my mother, crying. she said "it sounds like a bleeding heart." then i instantly started to cry as well. this track leaves me speechless.
First heard this awesome track in The X-Files ("Closure" episode), loved it immensely and wasn't at all surprised when I found out it was one of Moby's masterpieces.
This song has always been so touching to me. I can't even describe how it makes me feel. It reminds me of a calm after a big storm when people are finally coming out of their houses to enjoy the outdoors again. I also feel like this is what world peace would sound like if that makes sense.
This song makes me cry....it is the ending song of the movie Earthlings. You have to watch this movie and you will have another feeling to this song. Not like a few comments are saying that this song is are from ghost!^^
DOES ANYONE KNOW that Moby made the guiness book of world records for his B-Side track 'THOUSAND"? It is the fastest song ever but starts slow and the pounding beat comes in then builds up, all the way to a thousand beats....in one minute. This we had this at Raves in the early 90's. Look it up on YT.
I remember listening to moby when I was around 10 years old. I'm a couple years older, but Moby will always be the same to me. I love this music, and I'm proud he decided to help with the creating of 'Earthlings'. It truely gives m the chills.
I first heard this on the X-Files when I watched this episode as a kid. At the end of the episode I was in tears. Great song, great show, great everything...
I still remember the time I played this on a loop for a bit and it brought me to tears. One of my favorite Moby productions... It was a trip hearing this near the end of Any Given Sunday...
I first heard this song in 2002 watching reruns of X-files on Sci-Fi Channel and the music and the scene has never left my memory. I was glad to see Mulder finally find his sister again and have closure to what he dedicated his life to.
I think this is the best television episode ever made of any series. I also thin kthe ending to LOST is up there too.
@iLife0708 I'd heard this song long before I even started watching the x-files, and it made me cry even then. But when the episode finally came where Mulder discovers the truth about samantha, I bawled my eyes out even harder.
And yes, the finale to Lost was also mind blowing. :) I think they should have used the song Amazing Grace to sum that one up. :P
Yes, the X-Files did this to me as well. The finale of Lost reminded me of this X-Files episode where the music was just as significant in telling the story. When Mulder finally said the Samantha was dead, it became a touchstone in the story arc. Moby's song had haunted me ever since and I always wondered about it. Thanks to Youtube, memories of that era makes me long to see the show in it's former great self.
I, too, heard this in the X-File episode 7.11 ("Closure") and it really stuck with me. I was amazed to find this video. I had NO idea who did the song I just thought is was really haunting and so very appropriate for that episode.
This masterpiece provides us with the ultimate paradox, the oxymoron of oxymorons! It holds you in stasis through its captivating effect, yet majestically sweeps you along on a wave of ambience. Tranquillity can never be defined, it must be felt!
Oh, the drugs are wearing off ;) ;) Time to put that right and then repeat the song :) God Bless Moby :) :) :)
Just saw the X-Files episode with this on it. Great episode, great song. Would have never known about it except for the show. Thanx again Mulder & Scully
