  • 2010 should've been 8th god damn it.

  • Carolina Crown owns Somewhere over the Rainbow. Best performance of it I've heard in DCI.

  • Semper Paratus is our call!

  • did they win in 07

    or was it pr

  • Blue Devils won with Winged Victory. Phantom came in fourth behind the Cavies, I believe.

  • Yep. This I believe.

Hahaha I crack myself up, that was the name of the 2nd place cadets show

  • too bad they lost lol i was hoping they would....it was a pretty sick show

  • LoL, is that guy in the far back at 0:43 seconds giving the middle finger?

  • nope

    #1

  • finally lol

  • ahahahahh lmao

    5 freakin months!

  • cavaliers drill is in a league of its own. No corps come close to it

  • they're gonna win this year, no doubt

  • it was announced about 3-4 months ago

  • Hmmm...

After watching that im thinking this band is 86% gay?

Oh come on, you were thinking it too!

  • they are. when our band went to b.o.a. we were the lab band. and we were watchin them practice this program and we were all in the bathroom and all the guys were like slappin eachother.

  • I know what you mean. Some people in my corps due that also as jokes. They also have shower parties. You act super gay to prove you're not. That's just how corps with communal showers work.

  • Excellent- Congratulations!!!

  • zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

  • love the song

  • love you guys!

  • Hmmmm, wasn't high school marching band as hot as those guys!?

  • splooie

  • A complete phucking sausage fest. It pisses me off, but you know what? It's okay. They're a very good drum corp.

But the BD and SCV take girls, and BOTH their drumlines can outplay these boy lovers five times to sunday. Phucking bullshit.

  • you're retarded

  • You're just a bit ignorant throughout this post, aren't you?

Also, it should go without saying that it's spelled corps, not corp.

  • Oh yeah, let me tell you how ignorant I am.

The entirety of that post was what may be called a "vent". I am frustrated that such a good drumcorp (singular, honey. Singular.) does not take girls. As it so happens, the basis for my frustration is that I am a girl. So yes, ignorance all the way. I let my feelings cloud my judgement. My mistake.

  • It's their tradition! If you're mad because of that, then shouldn't you also have equal dislike for the Scouts?

Also, regardless of it being used in singular or plural form, it is always drum corps. Always. Search "drum corps spelling" on google, click on the drum corps faq link, scroll down till you see "Usage Note" and you'll see.

P.S. Sorry that I didn't know you were a girl. It's a bit difficult to get that message across on the internet :P

  • I know it's tradition, but still! My uncle was in the cavaliers and he always used to tease me by saying "Splooie!" and never telling me what it meant. Come to find out I'll never know what it means, it's a little frustrating. x3

It's cool, dude. Not many girls are interesting in drumming, anyways. Such a shame. xO

  • You really don't want to know. trust me

  • Wow. That made me blush. XD

  • bd plays on crap drums and scv warms up bybplaying cadences, besides, cavies were the world champs that year, give 'em the credit. and phantom won high percussion in '06

  • Yeah but their brass line only plays half the time. Michael Cesario timed them and they played almost exactly 6 minutes.

  • thats kinda sad but thats really wut cavies are know for... drill.

  • No drill has nothing to do with it. You can march and play at the same time, I mean it is possible. hell I thought thats what drum corps was all about.

  • Actually cavies are know for having the most technical drill every year. Plus they always score higher than everyone in that category

  • Ok again I'm not saying anything about their drill. I was commenting on their brassline NOT THEIR DRILL. Get that through your head.

  • I know qhat you are saying get that through YOUR head. All im saying is that cavies arent focused on the playing aspect of performance as they are the drill. I'm not trying to argue with you im just stating a point.

  • im in ur commentz

complainin on the internet about band

  • huh?

  • people seem to think that the brass are the center of the corps but jeff thinks differently thinking brass is just as equel as the front ensemble gaurd and drumline.

  • I agree with Jeff, but I feel like if Cavies pushed the envelope with musicality, brass wise, they would dominate ALL the time. I loved the planets show because I heard the cavies play for once! I wish they would play like that more often

  • Semper Paratus is our call. Indeed.

    Viva Cavaliers!

  • i'm not saying cavies hornline is better. but overall, yes phantom was outperformed

  • cavies were good but phantom should have won this year.

  • DCI is about having the most innovative and best overall show, I think cavies out performed phantom this year

  • there show was very innovative like most cavie shows are, but out performed. I DONT THINK SO!!! and can you really tell me that cavies hornline should've beat phantoms? if any does BE FOR REAL.

  • I wonder if I can find my friend in any of these pictures...

  • who-ray for the robot!

  • I fortunate to be in WinterGuard in 1983 and saw the James Bond Theme, complete with the black tuxedos. The Cadets even sent a chill down our spine when we competed. You were the best in 1983 when I marched, and still instill that chill just hearing your name.Keep up the great work!

    (3rd Lancers)

  • I love the last part of the show where the guard "crowd-surfed" the snare drummer and he hit the first note of the show to close. Brilliant.

  • Yeah, Cavies!! Congratulations guys! Machine was awesome (saw it in Naperville) I'm already excited for next year :)

  • Way to go, Cavies!

  • brian is a fag

    love the uk drumline.

  • nice video though.

  • O dang

The 2nd to last picture with the snare drummer brought a tear to my eye

    heh

  • Nice, thats all I can say.
