Naughty might result in a penalty and is not really what we want in racing, but that sort of bump is extremely common in touring car racing, less so in sports cars. However, Dangerous is simply unacceptable, the crash could have been considerably worse. Thanks god magnussen walked away from this. btw, i don't follow alms and have no allegiance :)

In my opinionbouth drivers are a bit nervous. Corvette hits first, Porsche reacts then unfortunately hard because if not, he would have been overtaken because of the dirty Corvettes manouver. I think, Porsche driver schould not have kicked back. After the race, put a reclamation and stay "clean". Now, he`s as dirty (or maybe more - revenge!) as the Corvette driver. As far as i know Bergmeister is no OK with Magnussen who actually broke his tail bone as result of the crash. There's been also speculation that Magnussen wanted to ram Bergmeister for the second time. Bergmeister hjimself stated that he sent Magnmussen into the spin, but it that was by an accident.
BTW: Bergmeister slowed down too much for the last corner, so that he would unsettle Magnussen. Unfortunately, he didn't react to it and ran into Bergmeister.

Magnussen broke bones in this shunt and Bergmeister admitted it was his fault the Corvette went sideways(The Corvette NEVER hits the inside wall!)into the opposite wall as he steered into the Corvettes back rear and KEPT on pushing until Magnussens ride went sideways and could do nothing but brace for impact. If you watch carefully you will see that the Porsche driver did a "PIT maneuver" (just like the cops do to stop runaway criminals). Regardless I think the Corvette driver deserved it as you said but the action was dangerous and both should be penalized (detached of any emotions of what's fair and what's not).

I cant see why everyone thinks Bergmeister is so wrong for this. We all know Magnussen had a quicker car in the final laps, but he didnt make a fair pass. Bergmeister has been the victim of this kind of driving before and lost a race because of it, so its hardly suprising that this time he decided enough was enough. If you cant pass fairly' then youre not a worthy racing driver. I would have seen the red mist too, and i bet most people would in the same situation

It wasn't a fair pass and as it was the last lap, the stewards wouldn't have been able to intervene until afterwards.

Magnussen broke bones in this shunt and Bergmeister admitted it was his fault the Corvette went sideways(The Corvette NEVER hits the inside wall!)into the opposite wall as he steered into the Corvettes back rear and KEPT on pushing until Magnussens ride went sideways and could do nothing but brace for impact. I can undetstand Bergmeisters "not giving in" attitude(The Ferrari incident!). But none of Magnussens moves, justifies this.

twat, the corvette guy had been cutting the track and driving like a idiot all through the race nudging the porsche and what not even down to the last bend 100 meters before the crash.
I'm glad the porsche fucked him up..it just shows what goes around comes around.
They were both banned from a number of next seasons racing.....
The porsche driver was clearly the better driver, if only that GT3 was turbo charged it would of shit all over that corvette on the last 100 meters. lol

Neither were banned but recieved a 2 race ban suspended for 2 years.

That bump to "loosen him up" is just a lame cheating tactic to be able to overtake on the straight. That's not racing that's cheating.
He got what he deserved when the porsche driver dished him out some of his own medicine.
He's too far away to pass, so he rams him, the 911 driver tries to cover him off despite that, they touch then the corvette driver turns right into the 911 stupidly to ram him again. The 911 brakes and he misses his target. Dumbass.
It is all the Corvette drivers fault.

If you watch carefully you will see that the Porsche driver did a "PIT maneuver" (just like the cops do to stop runaway criminals). Regardless I think the Corvette driver deserved it as you said but the action was dangerous and both should be penalized (detached of any emotions of what's fair and what's not).

I actually have spent many an hour behind the wheel of a race car and the Porsche driver did what anyone would do and moved to block. If the other guy had engaged his brain he would have backed out of it. Blame is a 50/50 split in my opinion. Either driver could have prevented it.. This is high level COMPETATIVE racing after all!! If the porsche driver had backed off he would have been up in front of his boss explaing why he gave in!!! If the corvette had backed off it would have been expected!

The corvette driver drove into the back of the porsche in an attempt to unsettle , then dived up the inside to which (in accordance with FIA rules) the porsche made ONE defensive move, yup the corvette hit the inside wall - but he should have backed off after trying the first (dirty) move racing is supposed to be non-contact - the corvette struck out first by rear ending the porsche - sorry if you find this hard to understand.

DUMB ASS Corvette driver, deserved that. He was too fast into the corner - He tried to spin out the Porsche driver - He didn't have the racing line - AND ''AND'' in racing it is ''LEGAL'' to defend/block another car passing you but you can only make 1 move - the porsche driver did that. I don't even think the Porsche driver had anything to do with the accident. When the corvette goes off he's actually pushing the porsche. I think that actually, the corvette driver was pushing back, he got ahead of the porsche then STILL tried to push the porshe over but was ahead of him. Notice that the porsche driver doesn't drive into the corvette owners back end - he's moving AWAY from him when the accident happens. The vette drove into him!
