Kind of like wii motion was a gimmick when everyone ended up playing most games with the controller sideways or a gamecube/classic controller. I'm assuming those controllers will still work for most games? I really have no interest in using a tablet at as a controller. I don't care if inventory, HUD, a map, a funny video of my face, or whatever is there.

@TheMisterManGuy When a gimmick interferes with gameplay, I consider it a bad thing, and I know I'm not alone on this, otherwise why would nintendo have made a classic controller? Come to think of it, nintendo's least gimmicky system (SNES) also happens to be its best. NES had the broken robot, and SNES had mathematical transformations on screen (which are now laughed at, but were awesome at the time). Wii has motion; great for casual games, not so great for real gaming...

@ra7thsign Actually if done right, motion controls are better. Take Skyward Sword for example, You will never get the same experience of that game with a regular controller. The motion controls add a lot more depth to the combat, & makes the game more satisfying. Another example is aiming, Sin & Punishment: Star Successor is a good one. The Wiimote & Nunchuck controls are the superior control scheme. With more precise & accurate gameplay.

After the kids and their filthy friends are done playing what essentially amounts to a glorified form of hide-and-go-seek on the U and getting their filthy, greasy fingers all over the tablet screen, when they go to bed, Dad is gonna at least want the OPTION to use a normal control scheme, and if nintendo doesn't offer it, sad to say, Dad will stick with Sony and Microsoft consoles for mature/non-casual games.
