  • The San Francisco Police Department celebrates its Irish heritage. Even if some of the officers do not have any Irish background, the origin of the San Francisco Police Department is of Irish ancestry. San Francisco does have a huge connection to Irish ancestry, not just citizens of Asian, or Jewish backgrounds. Which is why St Patrick Day's parade is just as important to San Francisco as in places like New York City and Chicago.
