I got back from the range this morning feeling both happy, that I am now hitting my Irons perfectly and sad, that I am not very consistent with my Driver. I started of hitting in high and straight, but towards the end of my time there, I started to top and pull some of the shots.
I finally got my ball position right where I am able to whip sling swat the club. The ball is hit by the dead center of the clubface nearly all of my shots. I actually see the ball mark left on the club.
Question is...On some of these nicely hit shots, I still have a slice. Any ideas why?
@mrjackpo It is either your release (Golf Pro lesson taut swing philosophy) or you still have a dynamically open club face (golf pro lesson weak grip or strong grip) you can also see "golf pro lesson strike it pure" part 1 and 2; Shawn
Shawn, another quick question for you. First, when I clear my right hip in the backswing and allow it to hold its position for the downswing. At or after impact, my left knee through to my left ankle and foot feels like its being drove into the ground like a sledge hammer. Trust me there is no pain or anything. However, I would like to know if this is what I should be feeling in the through swing?
Hi Shawn, I just watched your newest vids and came back to this one. I feel myself get outside of my right foot alot. How far apart should the feet be generally? I would assume it is more for the driver than it would be for a wedge. Thanks for the great vids. Tim
Think of it like the tripod of a camera; the longer the club (main leg), the wider you need to make the feet (base or other two legs)...short irons and wedges: feet under shoulders, mid irons: laces under shoulders, long irons and woods: shoulders just inside feet. Thanks for the question, Shawn

What could this be caused by?
