  • Very observant! I rigged a fifth line to the pump loop to aid in relaunching the kite from the water. Else it would NEVER turn on its back. In that situation, without my fifth line it was always swim-in time. Going to the pump loop, I figured it was not strong enough for depowering the kite, but it did work well for its intended purpose. I sold the kite a couple years ago when I went to bow-type kites.

  • do you have a 5th line on your Gaastra Kite?

    I also have a Gaastra Phoenix 21m Kite. IT is challenging to air up properly and it is so large that you have to pay attention when launching it!!!
