Actually the verse he quoted is ma khalaqtuu jin wa ins ila le yabudun... means, I(allah) did not create jinn and mankind EXCEPT to worship me(allah)..

He translated it as, we created jinn mankind to worship allah Alone...

This definition of the word Islam as to SURRENDER or SUBMIT or OBEY to the WILL or ORDER or COMMAND of Allah(swt), is infact applicable to even those who consciously disobey, for their(our) INNERSELF by the way it has been set up to FUNCTION for our survival. We have no INFLUENCE OF ANY SORT WHAT SO EVER ONTO THEM. Unlike our OUTERSELF or EXTERNAL BODY PARTS, which we can more or less act upon so that they will do what we want. When i try to explain to people certain aspects or creeds, i find it difficult to put into "their" terminology-to make them understand. what are you talking about? are you brainless? this sheikh is talking about ISLAM ! and he is giving DAWAH to the non-muslims and the muslims that have been born in the faith but dont practice.

I will admit I am not of the faith, and I admit to having confusion with the faiths I have grown up opver the years.

Sheikh Yusuf Estes presents the doctrine of Islam in a way that even a lay person can understand it and appreciate the depth and intricacies of such a rich religion.

Now I am not saying I am an instant convert because of him, but he does answer questions I have had regarding Islam.
