  • Just started the sax last year at the age of 36. Almost didn't thinking I was too old to learn or just didn't have the time to spare. Music like this, keeps me inspired to carry on with my learning. Great playing, from both musicians.

  • Beautiful! What a perfect arrangement. You are truly anointed and blessed.

  • oh! you can go very long in your life! you are the best! the new charlie parker!!!

  • @TheCar97 Hey thanks for the props I really appreciate it!

  • nice guitar

  • wat kind of saxophone is that? it's TINY!

  • @Muziksinmyblood No it's not tiny it's a regular alto. It's just that I am 9 feet tall. LOL just kidding. It's a Cannonball curved soprano. I love playing it.

  • @josephtapper lol good joke n love the sound beautiful

  • @95desired Thank you so much!

  • Awesome, Joe! Cajon rocks! (found you via your classmate Louise)

  • @summersk100 Well I'm glad you found me! Thanks

  • @summersk100 Now you have me at a disadvantage. I tried to find out who this is and couldn't. Who are you? lol Looks like you were a couple of years behind me at Cajon.

  • @josephtapper I''m class of '76. We're putting together a multi-year reunion for us '70s grads, let me know if you want the info!

  • We are playing this song in Service this morning. I saved your video to my Youtube and I'm glad I did to hear your phrasing! Thanks man. Have you played any of New Breed Israel H. Songs?

  • Inspirational rendition, my brother. I needed to hear this today.

  • @buffalo92div Thank you. Be blessed

  • wow! I always used to hear this song back in the day on 970 DJ with George Flores and always wondered who performed it, great encouraging song! Do you have a CD for this? I'm definitely buying lol

  • I am definitely working on that CD STILL!! LOL Boy it's a lot of work. But subscribe and you will be notified when it is ready. Thanks!!

  • Thanks a bunch Jerald! That's funny I'm trying my best to get a straight Selmer. You wanna swap? lol I got some more videos coming up soon go ahead and subscribe and you will be notified. Thanks for the encouragement.

  • Joseph, I knew it was a Cannonball because I thought about buying one. I have a straight soprano Selmer. I love it but I now appreciate the curved bell soprano because sound travels up toward the ears and me being a student, it's great if I had bought a curved bell. Continue to send more inspiratual Gospel to Youtube. You would be suprised how many people view this songs and its a great witness.

  • Wow...yeah! what a friend in Jesus! Love it! Hearing it for the first time. You hold that note boy!

  • Beautiful tone bro. Is your horn a Cannonball?

  • How did you know? It is a Cannonball. Thanks for the props.

  • Interesting, doesn't seem like there's alot of sax players in christian music. 5/5

  • You're right at least on a big scale. Not on the professional level at least. It's hard to make a living doing it full time I think that's why.

  • Thanks a bunch! Try 30 min a day of practice.

  • You sound really great. I love your sax playing. Now that I watch you vid, want to practice again. I've been playing alto from

3rd high to college. Great job. Keep on blowing that horn...

  • You did a GOOD JOB, i just dont like the sound of your sax but the CD TRACJ Was good and the your playing as well..your sound though almost sounded like a Hamonica kind of...not being rude i hope

  • That wasn't insulting or rude, just honest. I like that. Actually I agree, the curved soprano has a thinner sound than the straight but I love the instrument. I'm not the best around but I love what I do. Thanks for your comments.

  • love it!!!!!!!!!

  • you got sheet music for this? so i can play this at my church

  • Actually I wasn't blessed with the talent to read sheet music so I don't have it.

  • you havent learned how to read sheet music yet

  • I played the cornet from the 4th grade till I graduated high school. So I know the notes and if I took time could figure out sax sheet music. A note is a note but it would be a lot of work for me. I just sing with my sax, I sure can't sing with my voice. LOL

  • Love the sax man. Keep blowing for Him.

    KennyW

  • Thanks for the encouragement! As long as I have breath that is my goal.

  • I'm just like you Susan! I do'nt really have a Home Church; But,I'm always invited to Minister at different churches. We have a purpose in Gods plan and we are not going to let him(Jesus)down.Always ask God to increase your ability on the sax in your prayers.Keep Ministering brother!

  • Just like the human body there are cells that travel throughout the body and help the whole body. The body of Christ is the same, some cells must not be tied down to one area but be free to travel throughout the whole body as needed.

  • I'm also a soprano saxophonist.I also have a great arrangement of What a Friend.Thank you for Ese's # I will give him a call.Where is your church located?

  • The video was taken at Trinity Church International in Lakeworth Florida. I claim Pastor Tom Peters as my pastor but don't officially have a church home.

  • what a lovely interpretation! Just wonderful. Thank you so much for sharing your music with us. Susan

  • From a fellow saxer, man...that was a funky (& smooth) soundtrack. I like it a lot. I can also appreciate the fact that you are a minister, not an entertainer. Homie on the guitar has a likable groove to his playing. He's a little melody-rebellious but it's ok (for now), I'm not complaining.

I only play in churches though. Is your album out? Can I get my hands on a soundtrack like that? I like both your sax videos. Take care and God bless.

  • Hey the genius behind the sound track is a brother named Ese Thomas. He said that I can give his number out so here it is. 305-469-8676. He can make anything you want. Thanks for the visit.

  • I enjoyed this video! Considering that you only met up the night before he did a pretty good job! And as always practice makes perfect so with more practice he'll sound awesome!

  • He needs to relax and smooth out a little bit I think he'll do very well.

  • Yup, nothing a little practicing together wont cure. That was kind of a sight read. Thanks
