  • No it doesn't. We just didn't disable the rear 02s before making these videos. None of our customer cars have a CEL/MIL for any reason. Thank You.

  • Does this tune cause the engine light to stay on?

  • lots 'o MHP = lots 'o MPH

  • thanku 4 havin mph

  • Everything works just as before, there are never any issues whatsoever. I would say that an engine shutting down post tune is a HUGE safety issue. In fact the only cause of this problem would be to flash the wrong firmware version of a remapped file--basically when someone clones the wrong file.

    Thanks

  • when you do an ECU tune, does the mercedes' display operate normally as before and do you ever experience problems of random engine shutdown? The car and its engine are not as new to tuners now after a couple of years but these issues occur if the ECU is not perfected yet. \

    Thanks for any response

  • hey man nice car, i have a quick question, do you think this car can beat or keep up with the kleemann's k4 package for this car, thanks alot

  • @cobrakingrocks

Kleeman doesn't have a stage 4 (k4) for this car, they do not have camshafts. As proven on dragtimes MHPs Stage 2 kit (longtubes/mids/tuning) is superior to everyone else's full package ($30K+ including Renntech, Brabus, MKB, Kleemann, etc).

    Thanks

  • Get their tune then dyno and test it for yourself. 75 to the wheels or even close is not what you'll see. Thanks

  • sorry for jumping into the argument but I think with evo ecu upgrade the motor should be able to accelerate your last gear up to 200mph... since evo ecu stage 1 adds 75 Hp at the wheels!! to the stock numbers it should to the trick shouldnt it??

  • Our Stage 2 cars top out at 207-210MPH. We hold all 1/4 mile, 1/8th mile, VBox 60-130, Standing Mile and Dyno records for 63 AMGs so no, "evo" won't get you anywhere close to us.

Our stock tune only cars will top 200mph.

    Thanks

  • so you are saying that evosport stage 1 or stage 2 ecu chip upgrade wont reach a 200 mile mark??? Im not saying which company has the best tunning... I just think it probably can due to all the extra hp.. especially exta 75hp to the wheels from stage 1 evosport.... what about stage 2 which is about 12-15hp more than stage 1

  • I honestly do not want to comment on other tuners abilities, I will say that I've never seen even close to a 75HP gain from Evosport tuning period. Again to date no one has come close to our numbers (track and VBox) not just dyno.

VMax limiter removal is seperate in and of the tuning itself.

  • @ModernHorsepowerLLC Hi there, sorry for butting in, but what are your opinion on Carlsson's CK63 S kit?

  • hey where is the miami mile ??? i live in miami and would like to attend the jan 3rd event .... thanks ..... nice amg btw

  • We just purchased a VBox and will be attending the Miami Mile Jan 3rd as well as MIR Dec 5th. Miami's runway may be long enough to at least document 200mph+ GPS verified less than 3% grade. We have several customers running in these events so look for more objective track results soon.

    Thanks

  • Educate yourself karl. A stock Delimited C63 will top 200mph.

  • Do you have test results proving this, or is just theoretical? 200mph takes a hefty amount of horsepower and aerodynamics, hell the SLR mclaren barely clips 205, and that has an extra 170hp and i'd imagine superior aerodynamics compared to a stock c63.

  • @karlmalone11

Horsepower isn't the primary factor when considering top speed. GEARING. As you may or may not know, gearing dictates acceleration and top speed of a particular gear. I've personally attempted at this top speed in my C63. In fact, I can speak out of that personal experience. If I remember correctly, I was doing 290kph at 6k rpms in 6th gear. Rough math.. I figure thats around 180-185mph. With another gear to go. Definately no doubt it'll achieve 200mph, and stock too!

  • Sure gearing plays a big part in top speed, but it'll only fluctuate +-10mph or so from different gearing, the primary factor is still horsepower, there's no refuting that. The reason you got up to 185mph in your c63 is because of the 450hp, not the gearing. And sure you do have another gear left, but you don't have the horsepower to accelerate through that gear. At incredible speeds such as 190+, it's mostly horsepower that continues the speed. There's a reason a veyron does 250mph.

  • @karlmalone11

Only +-10?... You've got to be kidding me. You can limit the car to 100mph, and have the gear set for acceleration and do 100mph in 1 second, theoretically speaking. And regarding the Veyron.. 1001.. or 1027 hp as some claim; again, it's gearing. Theres load's of tuning cars-- such as supras, big blocks.. etc. Those will easily pass the Veyron in HP figures, but again.. the MAIN component is gearing--thats why most of those cars top out at 200mph.

  • Well yeah obviously you can limit a car with gearing, but that's not really the point here. I'm talking about the difference between gearing a car for top speed at peak horsepower vs. top speed with a very long top gear, where top speed isn't peak horsepower. An example is a viper, which reaches top speed at relatively low rpm and not peak hp because of the gearing.Better gearing would give a higher top speed, but only around 5 to 10mph.

  • And you do realize that your c63 won't reach redline in 7th gear because it doesn't have enough horsepower, right?

  • @karlmalone11

    Never tried.

This is why I said what I said at the end of the second comment. Being a 450 hp car with 200+mph.. thats already crazy enough if you ask me.

  • Continuing--- It doesn't how much horsepower you have.. you could have 5 billion.. and still only do 10mph. Really.. were both right in a sense. With high horse power cars, gearing will really affect the cars top speed. Although, with mid range HP, such as the C63.. HP will affect the top speed based on the fact that like you said, there isn't enough horsepower to push it that much further.

  • 93 octane for all videos, also there was a 120lb passenger in the rear during all vids. You can run 100 oct with our v3 tuning (has maps for both race/pump gas). 100 oct is worth 15-20hp and 12-15tq over 93.

    Thanks

  • what kind fuel were you using on my friends bmw m3 2005 he has it tuned by hpf stage 2.5 turbo he uses 110 octane with meth f%*k fast

  • Top speed is ~205-210mph

  • It's not gonna hit 210.

  • and i highly doubt 205mph also. I'd say 200 is pushing it.

  • Thanks guys!

Yes on average we see gains of 12-15rwhp/10-12rwtq when using 98-100 octane vs 93 octane pump gas. That makes the S2 package makes a legimate 600-610HP/550-555lb/ft at the crank on 100 octane.

Our Stage 2 Package with: Carbon Fiber Airboxes/Foam Filters, v3 ECU/TCU Tuning and our Race Longtube headers are making 100rwhp SAE (DJ, DD) over stock. The rest of the package consists of a 180F Thermostat and Thermal intake gaskets that allow for more consistant performance.

  • what is the top speed of this insane car??? :):)

And whoyld it be any difference in power if you tryed 98 or 100 octane fuel?

  • whats MHP?

  • modernhorsepower

  • WOW?? should have seen that coming.....

  • lol?

  • jesus...

  • Stock the car made 373rwhp/373rwtq SAE. MHP Stage 2 C63 AMG.

  • 468rwhp/435rwtq SAE or about 580-590 crank HP.

    Thanks!

  • Damn.... that's sick. Headers too? It must sound absolutely disgusting. Trade with my C32? hahah

  • how many hp does it have? is it stock or what?? very fast ....
