Like this in a lot of countries, Like the USA, one dares not be proud of their country cause the illegals might get offended. Why can't Muslims and Mexicans stay in their own country if they hote ours so much?
@Lesrevesdhiver Because they need jobs and money and the economy in their own country might be up shit creek? If such countries as the ones they complain about had better equal opportunities then they might stop complaining!
When the whole of the digital switchover takes place. I hope BBC News 24 stays on it's dedicated channel. And we get the closedown back. What is the point of having BBC News 24 on to different channels at the sametime?
Those were the days, when the BBC knew when it was time to closedown and suitably finished with the National Anthem. These days, they are probably frightened at being branded "racist" and offending a few Muslims bt playing the Queen's song nightly.
Please, can we bring bcak the good old days of British Broadcasting.. BBC1, BBC2, ITV and Channel 4.
This was the era *just* before Birt's economy measures took effect, when the BBC admitted it couldn't afford to do a proper schedule all year round, so Saturday night, news and MOTD excepted, was made up entirely of films and repeats.
Peter Bolgar seems a bit confused by the weather ("generally cooler, though windy ... in the north": love that pause) and that confusion adds to the sense of a real turning point around the corner for the BBC - DLT resigned on the Sunday.
