Io ho scelto di non far nascere il mio bambino colpito da trisomia 13 e non mi sono mai pentita...ritengo che un bambino abbia il diritto di nascere sano con i mezzi che esistono attualmente. I'm sorry but I don't understand what this video is saying bc it is in another language..but when photos like this are shared it scares many women into having abortions. There are many babies that survive & even with their anomolies live a very loved life.  We will ALL die one day..I have a trisomy 18 baby who is 16 months today. We are so blessed to have him in our life no matter how long that may be. Please check our other resources & videos as well. Get other perspectives.

I have had the pleasure of taking care of a Trisomy 13 baby on my nursing clinical rotations and will be doing so for the next 7 weeks. His 1st birthday is tomorrow,what a miracle that is! His mom was only 17 when she gave birth to him.He has cleft palate,6 fingers and toes,abnormal genitalia,heart arrhythmias,hearing problems and about the size of a 5 month old.Everytime I see him he impresses me with his will to live.He's actually a very happy baby. Keep him in your prayers.

And for other kids like my daughter, some survive. We would have missed out on much joy if this child was not with us, she is delightful...

November 18 will be the 10th anniversary of my daughter's birth and death. She had one of the severe forms of Patau Syndrome, with holoprosencephaly. The picture at about 2:04 looks a lot like my Rose did, except Rose had more hair. She lived an hour and 41 minutes. I have met children who have lived, and it's heartwarming to meet them. I'm sorry for you! I hope you and your entire family can overcome this loss. I know it is not easy, more depending on the degree of the syndrome that has happened, may have prevented greater suffering for the child and his entire family! Avoiding a greater wear! But I know as a parent you do not forsake your child in ipotesi any, would be on his side emtoda times. My condolences!

hello :) I thank you all for all the info and listening to me. there are web sites here in the USA for trisomy (Patau) If you would like please feel free to check out these sites my little girl is on a few of them. Just remember the more this gets out and both the good and bad are known Parents can make better choices for themselves and family. Either way the lose of a child or a baby is gratefully felt by all in the family, siblings also weather old or young!
