Nothing we do in life has any meaning. Not even the thing we attach our subjective meaning to. The only way to redemption is through death. I know this sounds silly but just think about it.
Suicide is an option you are given to end your oh how misreable life sooner instead of dragging it into like a 100 years of age and being depend on other people to change your fucking diapers becuase you cant take a shit on your own!

I doubt it's illegal to be arrested for attempting suicide. This situation however is public endangerment. It is not legal to walk around (or sit) in public with a loaded firearm with your finger on the trigger, pointed at anyone, including yourself.

If a suspect is threatining to inflict harm to themselves it is a cops resposibility to apprehend the subject for their own safty i can promise you that the man was trasported to a hospital for his own safety and not to a jail cell and i know this because i myself and a Military police officer and deal with both civilian and military police everyday

your an idiot! there is no crime if no one else is hurt! should this guy have been arrested? YES! he had no intention of killing himself or he would have done it quickly. The only possible charge would be illegal possession of a firearm (if against the law in that state) or if he pointed the gun at the police.

Suicide isn't a crime, but attempted suicide IS. The point is, he was a danger to himself, and potentially to others, which is why police need to do this sort of thing.
