@theaznpanda dude. i hate it when people say things like :people in africa can eat that food! its so freaking stupid when they say it, becuase thaey CANT eat that food or dring thak water. i would destroy the world trying to carry all that water and food that was wasted to africa i say that its okay to waste a little of something, (like the crust of a sandwich), but not a lot of it (like the whole sandwich.)
@warofthewalruses Actually, it wouldn't...we don't have to "drain the lake, killing hundreds of thousands of fish, birds, and turtles..." We don't have to take away every resource we have in order to help Africa. We can send whatever we don't necessarily need. By the way, we don't have to create a whatever amount of money airplane to carry that...we already have airplanes. It might cost more money for fuel and whatever, but your reaction is a bit...over the top.
@warofthewalruses I agree when people are so anal about wasting things and should send supplies to third world countries. Just that you are too on one side of the spectrum.
@wilsonics1st okay, so you want us to drain the lake, killing of hundreds of thousands of fish, birds, turtles, you name it, then, after destroying a beautiful ecosystem, you want the U.S govt so create a probably $2000000000 aircraft to carry the water. the fuel used to carry that heavy water would come up and destroy the O-zone layer. then, when we find a sutible landing strip, we could deliver the water to god-knows-where with tanker trucks they dont have in africa, "cont'd in next comment"
I thought the pushing force was being used up in the water chewing the ground, and splashing the water. I wonder how well it would work over a harder surface. I also thought it would hurt for that water to hit his foot !
Is it just me or does the mud at the begining look fantastic to roll around in. I have this policy where I don't usually like getting mucky, but when that first splatter of mud hits me I'd just love to get caked in it.
@ricardjorg remember the water doesn't get sucked in as fast as it comes out because the nozzle on the jetpack is much much tighter than the intake, imagine your vacuum cleaner, give it a tight nozzle and it sucks your skin off your flesh, give it a nozzle about the diameter of a ... lets say about head sized, and suddenly it takes the air/water in at a much slower speed while still maintaining the same throughput. fish can easily escape this mild current.. except for one or 2 stupid ones
Cool, interesting, whatever you want to call it. But honestly, what could POSSIBLY be the practical uses for this? So we humans can make water pressure high enough to lift a 160lb man off the ground, not so awesome, considering it takes hundreds of gallons of water...
@quelorepario If you didn't realise or even watch the video - they took AND fired the water from and into the lake....There was absolutely no loss of water...
£200 ------or you could spend 129 THOUSAND Euros (pump included) on EBay item 130378207622 (search for it). I reckon I could buy a high pressure pump and an old jet ski for a couple of grand??
