hey I have a question. I just bought the final cut pro and I was trying to edit a video from my digital camera. the video isn't clear and it is shot far away. how can i edit this to have it zoomed in and look more clear?

When using the Synchronize Clips feature, is there any way to automatically remove the audio from the video in the process? For instance, I have a video clip with terrible DSLR audio on it, and audio from my Zoom H1. When I use the sync feature, instead of removing the audio from the original video, it mixes with the Zoom H1 audio and it actually winds up sounding worse.

Can someone PLEASE help me?!

I'm a noob at this but basically when I try to play my edited footage, it just plays my original footage from the Event Library on the Canvas, instead of my edited footage from the Timeline. This means I can't see how my footage looks! Also to make matters worse my Playhead has gone to shit! When I select or scroll over footage in my Timeline it doesn't show up on the Canvas...meaning I can't see what I'm doing and I can't edit!

i have never had a FCP before FCP X but when i got this i was surprised how much it was like iMovie. I felt cheated because i want to get into professional editing and i knew how pros really liked FCP so when i got this i was like i already have iMovie i wanted something better. Im disappointed because FCP X won't do half the stuff i expected it too.

@FinalCutKing, in FCPx UNLIKE other NLEs you don't have layers (or tracks). when place a clip on top of the other one it will become a Connected Clip.

You know how in iMovie when you import a video file, you are actually making a copy of the video file? Does FC 10 do this as well or is it using a "pointer" to the original video file like in FC pro 7 and previous versions? I ask this because you can eat up a lot of HD space and I prefer "non-destructive" editing like in FC pro 7. Thanks.....
