most schlage and kwikset house keys are 5 pin locks so the same key usually works on both types. Although your're right that it won't open 100% of locks my schlage bump key works on my kwikset locks and viseversa

that was a Schlage lock and most doors in America use Kwickset locks so you can not open "any" door

You have to find a key that will fit into the lock but dosnt turn. then you file it down to a certan point. The key is no good to doors it wont fit into...

yeah use like a ruler with an eraser on the top of one side. it wont damage the key and or lock

not the bump hammer, but i do have a factory made bumpkey. personally i think that the hammer is worth it if you cant find anything else. a bit over rated if you ask me

your gonna ruin your door and the bumpkey if you keep y=using a hammer ive done it before, my suggestion would be to use a metal butterknife hit the bumpkey with the handle works great for me
