Look at the contentment on Pauls face. That is what you call man and machine in perfect harmony. It was an honour to work with him and a pleasure to know him.
I loved working with Paul. He wouldn't believe me about the black pheasants in Norfolk. We saw one and ran another over. As you say, there was never a dull moment with him. A great character. Sadly missed now. RIP Paul. Until we meet again.......
Hi, Paul`s daughter again, I was just wondering if it would be possible that you could make me a copy of this video on DVD, it`s the best one I have found of him on You Tube. He passed away on Saturday on the footplate of the Bittern near Stevenage and would love a copy of this, please let me know if this would be possible, many thanks, x
@tottietoots I was only up there for one week, he didn't mention you from what I remember but he did tell lot's of silly stories particularly about girls he met when he was younger, and he seemed to know alot of women, he'd set the engine running then wander across the cab to wave at so and so who was stood by their window ready to wave back at him!
A year ago today Paul passed away. I'm glad we had a chance to work together.
