  • old but gold. still my favourite new years eve goose from you.

  • Nice! Guitar strumming was a bit of a different pattern...but nice!

  • This is the best Brand New cover i've seen on YouTube.

  • killer voice and love the guitar i have the same one

  • Searched the us144 and 990/991 package to hear what it sounded like, and it was nice to hear it demoed with my favorite Brand New song. So many props to you dude. Amazing. This song gives me chills everytime. Loved the effects on the vocals. Not too over processed .

  • @S2frosty Thanks dude. But, I'd advise against the US144 -- I had so many issues with that thing.

  • i hear a lot of people have trouble with the drivers for the tascam, especially with vista, what system are you using and do you have any problems?

  • can you plug the two mics in the interface at the same time¿?

  • i got a tascam whatsoever as well! nice man. i still like your squeeky voice. it melts down my throat like a new years eve goose :D

  • @incubus90 that's the most bizarre comment I've ever heard dude xD how's the tascam working out for you?

  • @yohanzo squeaky. xD hahaha 2:07 :D thats what i mean!

it still works. I'm quite satisfied :)

  • Nice! What kind of mic are you using?

  • can you send me the link?

  • Very professional sounding. Good job.

  • This is really, really good man. Keep it up.

  • can you please tell me me how to plug the mic in the tascam us-144 usb sound interface and how to make the sound work???

  • @vampireknightx101 hmmm... i'd have to know your specific situation :/ this sound interface has lots of issues... especially w/ vista. did u read the manual? :D

  • @vampireknightx101 You'll need an XLR cable for that particular mic and for most other mics. I use the us-144 with vista and it works fine for me. Just make sure you download the drivers from tascam's website. Then when you're in a recording program, set the main audio device to "Tascam US-144." You should also flip the "Phantom Power" switch on once you have the mic plugged in.

  • @Pankakke wow o_O i've tried it on 2 vista machines and yeah... both lagged out and had strange issues w/ timing. couldn't get anything done. very annoying. i tried 3 different versions of the driver too. i still couldn't resolve it. thanx for the comment btw.

@vampireknightx101 yeah it's hit and miss with any piece of hardware. if you bought it new and you have issues. just return it :] best of luck!

  • this is the end, this is the calm, we are the risen, after the storm, rest in the sea, washed up on the beach.

  • lol :P epic fail. there are more errors.

  • amazing.

  • check you lyrics and chords on this. the chords are Em, Em7 on the last two during the verses.

  • if you need a video editor that supports multiple tracks use sony vegas or adobe premiere

  • are you okey?

  • really beautiful song *_*

but I've got one question, how do I record some distortion on my guitar with the Tascam USB Interface?

  • hmmm... there's two ways:

    1) get a decent amp and just put a mic in front of it.

    2) record it straight in from guitar and use software distortion. line 6 pod farm is pretty good for that.

i like the second option just because i can finetune the distortion type and amount. and.. i can change it later if i want more or less. :)

    good luck man

  • first of all thanks for you answer (:

I've already tried the second way but it sounds soo ugly when I use software distortion o: and that's my problem; there is no way for me to put good distortion on it because it sounds completely f-up ._.

  • did you use the tascam with a mac or pc? because i like the price of the interface but sometimes things say there compatable with mac but is will end up sucking with it.

  • pc :) it's pretty cool all in all. despite the occasional lag. of course, it will be on your good takes :/

  • Nice recording! sounds very close to the original, nice job man

  • I found this because I was looking for feedback on the tascam 144. I'm sold. Nice Tune man. Keep it coming. :)

  • thanks man... but i wouldn't recommend this interface... it lags sometimes :( grrr!!!

i looked on forums after i bought it and found lots of complaints.

the pre amp is pretty good though :) for the price.

i'd go with an m-audio or line6 interface. i've heard only good things about them.

    good luck!

  • Yeah, I did a little research and decided against the 144. Lots of issues.

I ended up getting a Lexicon Lambda. I like it so far, but there are a few issues with Cubase erroring out. Probably Vista related. Thanks for the heads up!

  • This is so beautiful, you should provide an mp3. It's really lovely.

  • wow, keren brur....

  • trima kasih pak ;) ini siapa yah?

  • ah...bukan siapa-siapa kok gan. Cuman orang Indo yg punya account di youtube.

  • haha... kok tau sih?

  • great recording but delete some bass its just to much...

  • The quality of the recorder is really impressive

  • Thank you.

    For the harmonies.

It's what makes this song great.

  • thanks :) you're welcome.

  • hey dude a nice programe you play play multple video tracks at once is adobe premiere pro. i have it. and i didnt pay haha.... just download the trial(30 days trial) and then search up on google(adobe premiere pro crack) then you put the crack in the adobe premiere files. if you need help ask me

  • lol yeah man... xD i attempted to do that a while back. check out the video... it's kinda lame.

  • Hey great job, i was wondering what method did you use to dub the vocals?

  • thanks =] i used adobe audition.

  • ahh i cant stop listenin to thiss..i love it so much!!

  • quite nice

  • How did u get so much reverb?

Is this from the tascam interface?

    or adobe audition?

  • adobe audition. haha... it was called large bathroom. xD way too much!

  • No actually, i like it!

  • I always use the "classic soft knee" dynamics processor and then "slow attack verb", "nice presence" or i think "medium concert hall (warm)" for lead vocals and either another one of the concert hall settings or "violaharpsihornhall" or something like that. haha. it might not be what you're looking for though and/or it may not work well with the way your studio, mics or board sound. great cover though.

  • yeah... the dynamic processor is pretty good. wish i knew about it when i recorded this =P the multi-channel compressors are pretty amazing too.

  • diaphragm singing dude!! =P

  • wow great voice!!!..gives me goosebumps

  • Its good, and I dont know if its just me or not but it sounds too "produced" I guess is the word. This is suppose to be an emotional acoustic cover, which you've done, but then the "production" I guess just kinda hurts it for me. Good cover non the less.

  • Agreed 100%.

  • this song just isn't powerful without the harmony... couldn't find anyone to sing it =P

  • Yeah thats understandable. I just think that it sounds EQ'd and theres some reverb on it. If it would have been more bare I think it would truly be an amazing cover.

    Good job anyway =D

  • haha xD yeah... i went a little reverb crazy on this one!

  • bravo

  • damn it thats one of the best songs i ever heard man...

you have too much talent for 100 guys!!!!!!

man make some more songs amazing voice

damn it thats all i can say damn it

    hell ya gradl

  • WHOAH!

    ur amazingg!!!!!

    :D

  • woww ur really goood.

  • well done.

  • I've really enjoyed listening, really soothing =D

  • SUPERB!!! You could actually sell this already!

  • i thought it was alright, i just thought he was trying to hard to make his voice sound good like he was trying to make it sound better then it really was, i think it could of been better but it was alright.

  • this is amazing. very very very incredible job.

  • A very original cover. I'm so tired of carbon copys, awesome job.

  • nice man.. good job

  • I was gonna try and cover play crack the sky...

    then I saw this.

    lol you're great dude

  • i dont think anyone can cover this song more perfectly than you did in this video. very good production as well. after hearing it, its kind of hard to say which version i like better (minus jesse's live version)

  • Great job man!..I'm thinking about buying the tascam us-144...my question is :do you have to put something like a preamp after the mics or are you able to go straight into the tascam without using a preamp?

  • thanks bro! but please read my reply to walakazam before buying it =/

man o_o you've got a lot of talent! i wish i could play electric like you.

i think there are cheaper alternatives if you're just going to do guitar recordings though.

the tascam's mic inputs have phantom power, for condenser mics. you can plug straight into it with normal vocal mic too =)

    best of luck ^_^v

  • Congratulation man, this song is asome (sorry about my english i´m from Chile , South america) good job, im going to purshase this tascam interface with the mics, sound great.

    Thanks for make music.

    Bye

  • lol... thanks man =P but i feel that i should warn you: this thing doesen't like vista! the driver is very very unstable and crashes all the time :( it works quite well under windows xp though :]

haha... your english is way beter than my spanish xD take care bro!

  • veeryyy very good, i love it :D

  • This is great.

  • good job man

  • nevermind the question

but dude, this sounds awesome, youve inspired me to get that tascam us-144

awesome job, and this comes from someone who hasnt heard the actual song, it just sounds great

  • what kind of mics are they?

  • they're not bad =] they actually came with the sound card: MXL 990/991. i think you can get em' for less than $50.

  • damn this was smooth
