They were buried at Landet Churchyard on the island of Tåsinge. It has become a tradition for the brides that are to be married in that church, to place their flowers on Hedvig's/Elvira's grave - in this way to give it to her what she never had while she lived...
I can't believe I waited so long to watch this ravishing movie. Each scene was a still-life painting. I'd watch it over and over again for the cinematography alone. Thanks you so much, what a treat.
goodness, what a movie! just found it recently! wow thats a masterpiece! i love it how their closiness is manifested and maybe ill sound naive but i wouldnt dare to break this love, no matter what :*) thank you so much for posting! the actress is very beautiful reminds me of Brooke Shields in the Blue Lagoon part 1. great music too xx
well I only feel frustrated that they didn't eat their breakfast before dying... such a waste now that they finally managed to cook a decent meal! all this tasty food...
This is such a beautiful love story. However, I don't like they committed a suicide even though I understand the situation was so difficult. Did they have just to die as the best resolution of their ill-fated love? Life can be so brief but so much precious. Ending is so sad! I loved Mozart Mozart Piano Concerto No. 21 in C major K. 467 streaming through the scenes of this movie. Thanks for posting this movie!
Thank you so much for posting this. This movie means so much to me and has been one of my favorites since I saw it with my first love, more than 40 years ago!
Thanks for uploading!

soooo romantic & soooo tragic scene at the same time ! Pia Degermark was well deserved the golden palm award in cannes film festival 1967.

@panslass Yes, life and love is very brief, one realizes, too late, usually. Like a bolt of lightning. ;-)
