The words of these sufis need genuine level of wisdom,comprehension and imagination to be understood. They are onto another level where normal people(human nature) can't understand certain mystery of life. "I am you" is a profound mystic phrase from which volumes of books can be made out of it. You can't interpret it into "God is everything",and then judge him "against Islamic teachings". "I am you" is a mirror: if you say im nice,then it means you are nice urself. Its just a mystery reflection.
