This was a hit when I was a teenager and a fanatic pacifist. I always hated this song and I still do. Making a war look cool and pretending we were the good guys and the enemy was the bad guys, that's simply not cool.

In reality there were no mysterious superheroes. Both locals and Americans were killed off by thousands for some major political purpose that nobody understands. You can't cover that up with this kind of patriottic crap - maybe that explains why this wasn't a hit in the US?
