I have no idea Mark. Wait hold on... Got a pen handy? Try this guy. Here's his e-mail.. foreveryounginct@yahoo.com his name is Dave Dyke. he has a colum on the internet called "Dave's Page of the past". it's all old racing articles and old photo's of race cars. He could possibly help you. Tell him "Bobo" sent you.
It's too bad they broke up.I really looked forward to seeing them every summer at the speedbowl. I hear a rumor that Joie sr. passed away. Is this true? Anybody know?
I was standing in the waterford speedbowl infield area when the jet truck started up. You could feel the intense heat. I asked them where they got the jet engine from. They told me it was from a world war II fighter jet.
I worked as the track "clown" at the speedbowl. I did it for 13 yrs before I retired. I can tell you it's pretty dangerous out there. But I really enjoyed it. Really enjoyed performing for all the little fans. They really looked forward to seeing me every sat. The people who owned the speedbowl at the time. They treated me like gold.
I'm not positive on that. I think so.. I seen these guys at the Waterford Speedbowl many years ago. They arrive at the track in the morning. Then around 1 pm they hit the track for a practice session. Then they have one of the guys wash all the cars before the show.Did you know the clown "crash' drinks? I was talking to him in the infield area. he had alittle flask with whiskey. lol He drives one of the car haulers.
there show only lasts for 45 mins. but it's timed to a tee..everything is bang, bang, bang no delays
