@yensonvega87 - My hunch is that people (like me) who are watching this to learn how to hang drywall will NOT be working on a commercial building. Hater....
this guy doesn't know what he is talking about. you lay the board down if you are doing residential, you can stand the board up if you are doing commercial hanging because commercial is usually metal framing, which means the studs and the walls are straight. I'm a commercial metal framer and a drywall hanger and that's how i can see that this guy doesn't have a clue about hanging drywall.
Just wanted to let you know that I thought this video was really helpful for someone like myself who is planning to do some drywall, but I have not done drywall before. Thank you.
u hang it up and down if its in a basement and many people hang it up and down if the studs r off this guy does not know what hes talking about and u dont have to put other 2by4 in if its off cut the drywall so it fits OMFG
If you can run a sheet the whole way along a wall then horizontal is best but sometimes running it horizontally creates but joints which are harder to hide in critical lighting conditions..
go watch How to Hang Drywall by finehomebuilding. there is a lot more on how to hang... he does more hands on in that video....
