Kids! Kids! Stop the video at 1:43 and take note. Look how high his strings are from the fretboard. (the action) Ronnie uses thick strings and the strings are far away from the fretboard. You need increadible finger strength to play a guitar set up like this. Stevie Ray Vaughn played with big strings and high action too. (Gary Moore, John Sykes) Big strings? Big sound. You can't duplicate Ronni's tone with super light strings and low action.
@SpiritLevelBubble I really don`t care, cause as you said there is no "best ". That is why i said the thing `bout the "10000" others out there. The one thing that pissed me of was Angus` place on the list (it`s a sore personal thing) so I kind of lost my head there for a second.
Saw the 100 greatest guitarists ever in the Rolling Stone mag. site.
So if you are not AMERICAN or ENGLISH you are nothing?.
Sooooo shag that. Angus at 94 is just rubbish. Ronnie not on the list, SHAG THAT BIG TIME. Even Eric Clapton said once that the best guitarist in the whole world was this chap in the deep forests of Norway. Oystein Sunde is his name.
There are probrobaly 10000 more guitarists ever on the eart that never ever got the chance. So fuck you RS.
@avo1989 Nothing else matters was on the album "Metallica" (Or the Black Album) which was released in August 1991 or so, even if the single didn't come out until 1992. :P
I was there. it was in Kawasaki industrial hall. Time really flies.

@SpiritLevelBubble You are so right.
I simply needed to vent the rage.
I`ve actually heard Oynstin Sunde and he`s good.
Urban legend or not. Bit country/bluegrass-whatever, but good.

It's great to hear a guitarist do something original with his live solo. Bravo, Ronni!
His playing on the first three TNT albums is fantastic. Highly schooled yet quirky, technical as hell but also lots of fun.

the classical piece is called Klassik Romance, and doesn't sound a bit like Nothing Else Matters (a great song, for the record)!
SnopElsker 1 year ago 2
It doesn't sound like Nothing Else Matters because it's a much better piece of music than Nothing Else Matters.

@cmde123 You can't compare them, dude...
