  • The true owner knows the details. This was filmed as a special tribute commercial which aired following the season finale of the tv show American Dreams. The story line was based on the the show ending with the return of the son from overseas. Ford then incorporated its own tribute to thank all military personnel. While a mustang can't be enough thanks for all that our military does, Ford does support our military through its special programs. Thank to all military for everything you do.

  • was this advertised on tv? It's a really long commercial, not that it's bad...

  • meet your son at the airport you bastard

  • the soldier comes home and the father is taking a joy-ride... asshole

  • im so proud to own a mustang bought a 05 all by myself when i was 17 worked my ass off and i look back and just thank the lord for everything hes done

  • A tad Schmaltzy but ok

  • Welcome back to all our troops.

  • I get choked up watching this.....great commercial

  • wow...............

  • ;_; Mustang + America = (:

  • only commercial i like

  • Comment removed

  • 32 people got a Camaro

  • Ask any ‘Nam Vet to watch this & you'll see how powerful this commercial (?) really is. When you watch this piece for the first four minutes, you have no idea of what you're watching. This is NOT (in my opinion) a commercial of (or by) FoMoCo as much as it is a tribute to the American Veteran. You could have substituted a Camaro, Vette, or Challenger and lost none of what this video represented. Thank God for YouTube that it will continue long past it's (few) broadcasts

  • this one made me tear up... Great Commercial but i liked the fathers mustang more than the sons.

  • This would make a great movie.

  • it feels like I just watched a whole film length movie!

  • i love this commercial!! i remember watching it in '04 when my brother was over seas :)

  • longest commercial ever!

  • It' s not the best ford commercial ever, it's.....THE BEST COMMERCIAL EVER!!

  • i didnt know commercials were 4:55 seconds long

  • Fucking cheesy and fake

  • to my dad that when to war in ww2 and all the service men and woman in all the wars. i did this commercial for all.my car is the1969 mustang gt in this ford car commercial.this was done in summit NJ.

  • @mrsnake500 Thanks for sharing! This is one of the best commercials I have ever seen. I was one of those guys in 1968 that went overseas to jungleland. I had a mustang (66) in high school but got a differen car after a tree met that ne. I always wanted another one and got one in 2008 that is the same red as the one in this commercial. Just traded it in for a 2011 red one that has the old gt package and love it.

  • *tear

  • @Mischief2339 it's a comercial to show respect to the service men and women, and your hating on fords. Not cool, not cool!

  • Salute the kid back, Dick.

  • RESPECT US SOLDIERS.... FROM ITALIAN AIRBORNE!

    MUSTANG!!!

  • ford needs to make more great commercials like this. I mean I have an emotional attachment to my mustang with all the hours spent working on it with my dad and stuff. people like this sort of thing.

  • i am crying....during a freaking ford commercial :')

  • got me again i dare somone to watch this and not tear!

  • Awesome Commercial !!! GOD BLESS AMERICA , GOD BLESS OUR TROOPS !!!

  • Brought tears to my eyes...

  • boringggggggggg

  • I go buy right now a mustang for my son =(

  • Rawls isn't a nice guy!

  • Best Commercial EVER! :)

  • a commercial?? this is a bloody short film

  • This made me teary-eyed what I wouldn't do for a '67 Shelby GT500.

    BEST FORD COMMERCIAL EVER INDEED!

Ford??? jajajajajajaja

  • Mustang=American tradition...

  • if you get a Brand new Ford Mustang for joining the army and don't die.. COUNT ME IN!

  • Hats off to all the vets and current soldiers. Awesome commercial!

  • wow this was amazing...i all most cried.

  • I'm a big fan of muscle cars and classic cars, but especially I love the mustang not just Ford mustang, I love Shelbys, roush, and saleen, This commercial shows the love of mustang

  • thats what mustangs are all about true ford blue passion love and most of all a legend bless our troops

  • I'm not an American or anything, but I always treat soldiers with the best respect possible., especially American soldiers. They do so much and give so much, it's only fair.

On topic: Beautiful, beautiful cars. Unfortunately we don't get Mustangs over here but we do get Ford Falcons and Holden Commodores. They are Muscle car in spirit and are used for V8 Supercars. :)

  • I cried.

  • The way i see it is, every american vet should be treated as royalty. They fought for us to even be here and this car symbolizes hes dad being proud of hes son. Any American muscle car would of been perfect to use but still I think we still don't give our real thanks to our vets. Every time i see a American Solider i always give my thanks to them. Stand up to the American Flag, we all should wake up and bring our country were it was at its finest. Not now were we buy more imports then exports.

  • that was beautiful, almost brought a tear to my eye

  • thanks to all that you like my 1969 mustang gt, it the father car! i had a great time doing the commerical for the vets like my dad in ww2 and also from ford putting my car in this commerical it was film in summit,nj.

  • 29 people hate America..

  • If Ford was this 'grateful' of the Armed Services, they would a Mustang to everyone coming home from war? Sheesh. Stop whoring the army to sell cars, Whored. I mean, Ford.

  • This video is Boss!

  • God bless our soldiers and their families. Thank you!

  • My father owns a mustang, he had one way back when he was a kid. He bought the 2005 Mustang, in the same color as his long lost 69'.

    Love it.

  • @Nassault630 Thanks for your service!

  • i had a iraqi vet come into my shop to get his mustang fixed and he said he had just got back from iraq, i didnt know he meant at 5 that morning. at the end of the day his bill was over $400, i told him to not pay a dime cause thats the least i owe him.

  • @bluetilerules120 What a wonderful thing for you to do. I make sure I walk up to and thank and shake the hand of every soldier I see. I see a good amount of them considering I don't live far from McGuire AFB/Fort Dix

  • your our hero

  • I love this commercial.. I remember my mustang when I got back from Iraq. My lil bro hooked it up while I was gone. Best feeling in the world..

  • "not mineee urrrr"" BUUAAAAAAAAAAA

  • 29 peoples don't like one of the best cars on the world.

  • uhhh dad, i wanted a camero...

  • Best commercial ever...

  • He didn't salute back ! LOL I would have.

  • Soooo...so TRUE, "4doororphan", so TRUE! I dare say that YOU are a Viet Vet!! Because ONLY a Viet Vet can "feel" THIS! It brings me to tears EVERY time I see this! When I first saw this "commercial", it brought to me to serious tears! I thought, "Man! I wish I had a Dad like that!" LONG STORY SHORT...after I saw THIS commercial, I told The LORD, "Wish I had a Dad like that!" THE VERY NEXT DAY, I TOOK MY CAR TO A FORD DEALERSHIP NEARBY AND THEY WERE ABLE TO APPROVE MY TRADE IN FOR AN 2009!

  • Comment removed

  • I love ford vehicles

  • On my way home from my first tour in Iraq is when I purchased my 67 Mustang. Like the father in the comercial, looking forward to purchasing it kept my mind off of the bad things while I was there. It also kept my mind clear the second time I was there. Owning a Mustang has been my dream since I was 14. To me, it's like owning a piece of America, driving it, is what it feels to be American.

  • best part of this video... :15 - :21... hands down.

  • i'd be like: "aww... i wanted a caterham. :("

  • @Superchickenman159 Mustand is a better than that

  • @FGalaxie well... then i'd say "aww... i wanted a delorean. :("

  • @Superchickenman159 mega heap of junk

    and still Pommy.

  • @FGalaxie well... then i'd say "aww... i wanted a bricklen. :("

  • BEST FORD COMMERCIAL EVER!

  • Awesome! This should be aired today as it is still current.

  • Awesome video, awesome car. I have a black 2006 Mustang GT and I love it. I am a big Mustang-Maniac. But at 3:30 you can see the front and rear window from inside and obviously there is a vertical rod separating the front from the rear window. This does not look look a 67 Mustang. Can anybody please explain this ? I live in Germany and it is quite hard to get a Mustang over here but I simply had to get one of these. I´ve had it for about 4 years now and I will never ever sell it. Thanks.

  • @stangrat it's not separating windows, it is just something hitched to roof, I think

  • @sitafreak420 Yes, I thought that at first as well but would not the window of the driver´s door be a little long ?

  • @stangrat You can see on passenger side that doors are reaching almost 10 inches behind the front seats. That means this small chromed tape, inch or two next to this strange black thing could be (and is) supporter for the frameless windows

And that wouldn't be a matter of a dispute if car in question was more likable fastback version:)

  • @stangrat the reason it doesn't look like a 67 mustang is because it isn't sir. It is a 1969 Mustang GT, Gulfstream Aqua exterior, White interior with about 58000 miles on it. Anymore questions email me direct, and i can answer them, i know that very car extremely well.

  • 28 voted dislike. Seriously, you 28 (at this time), eat a dick.

Amazing commercial. Our Armed Forces give up so much of themselves, and ask nothing in return, though they deserve everything.

Best commercial for any product ever, bar none.

  • sack my dit

  • Yeah I agree, "ALMOST as pretty as mine." LOL! The old man ain't stupid no way he's letting anyone, even his own son, drive that classic.

  • Today i honor:

Jeremey Ward-Bronze Star with Valor recipient ETS Afghanistan

    I'm proud of you J.

  • today I honor

    Carl Carson USN Ret

    Jason Rogers USMC active

who do you honor this Veteran's Day?

Just add their names to the comments!

  • I bought one after this commercial, the best car i have ever owned, I get compliments on it all the time because of the one year color mineral gray. Every time I get in it and drive I get excited, truly a great car. Before my wife died in 2006, she said...go buy yourself a Corvette. I always wanted one, but when that retro design came out I knew I was hooked. Ahhhh Now to find a 1965 Mustang to store!

  • Also Semper Fi, Oorahh

  • Commercial Art!

  • i am a camaro person....but this is by far the best commercial i´ve ever seen.. truly touching....GREETINGS FROM BOSNIA

  • what is the name of his dads car ?????

  • @nothinginvoice I am not sure but it looks like 69 mustang Shelby cobra.

  • almost as pretty as mine :D lol 1969 rules Baby ! The red one is for Barbie and Ken :)

  • @Mustangcabrio

    shut the fuck up

  • @ThePapeech

ohhh, there is Ken ^^ with his 5000$ 2005 Mustang :D

  • can you add a pony package after you buy the car?

  • wow, I actually got teary eyed from this...especially when the father says "not mine, yours" and he opens the door....amazing short film.

  • this is such a serious commercial, very unlike ford today, the whole entire 5 minutes i was waiting for Sarcasm or something to jump out at me. If it was ford today it would be something like this: the dad is ripping the new mustang and completely forgot that his son is back from the war, which technically what the commercial was building up to in the first place

  • this really touched me.

  • holy shit long ass commercial

  • This commercial is very good, and the 2 Mustangs look EXCELLENT! The Ford Five-Hundred was a nice touch too :) . Proud Ford driver!!!

  • pretty long commercial bet a lotta ppl were pissed back in 04 eh? lol

  • I love how Ford doesn't try to make manipulative commercials! I love Ford!

  • @sferb lol

  • i like the mustang cars.

  • Ask any ‘Nam Vet to watch this & you'll see how powerful this commercial (?) really is. When you watch this piece for the first four minutes, you have no idea of what you're watching. • watch?v=Ezk0e1VL80o <==< the one to the left is much more more patriotic and by far the best commercial ive ever seen

  • I LOVE this commercial i watch it all the time. I just don't know what the Father says to his son, when the Father gets out of the car. Is he saying, hi youre early, or hi hero? I bought a 2005 Mustang after this was out and to tell you the truth it so far is the best car i have ever owned. I feel re-juvinated in it every time I drive it. Thank you Ford and thank you for this awesome commecial. a FORD fan all the way!

  • @poots2988 He says "Hi, you're early" because the son responds "Actually, right on time".

  • fords mustang is simply a living legend

  • @ThePilotman818

    agreed

  • in my country, a soldier came back from serving in irak and he died on his way home in a car accident :(

  • @damiresq Wow that sucks. : (

  • @damiresq iraq*...i don't understand how people spell this word wrong. is it not all over the news enough?

  • @Three1Bravo - u are right, it's iraq. We write the name "irak" here

people die here in car accidents more than in the vietnam war, maybe bothsides counted.

Main cause is drinking. And I'm not liveing in russia :P

  • Awesome commercial. Just got an 05 mustang for my birthday, love the car. So fun to drive.

  • Where were you all when we got back from Vietnam...so sad, sosad

  • I can not think of another car that stirs the emotions like a Mustang, every time I see one I get excited, I hope to have one by the end of the year.

  • I'm dreaming of buying a 2011 5.0 once i'm outta the military. I can't wait! I love this commercial.

  • Thats a great commercial.

  • great ad - should be more patriotic stuff like this out there. Thanks for uploading!!

  • Darkpolymath ur a fucking dumb cunt go kill ur self in a corner u piece of shit, it was a good video for people who care about thing, wonder y ur name is

Darkpolymath explains a lot u fuck

  • es hermoso mustang para siempre

  • A Toyota Corolla is just another car on the road. It doesnt have any character as a car whatsoever. The Mustang does.

Plus the gas pedal would probably get stuck and he would be out of control. Since that seems to be Toyotas biggest problem at the moment

  • @Darkpolymath

yeah toyota is doing so well right now....

  • that was a good comercial had alota meaning to it very good father son connection (corp.,mustang,)

  • i'll take that Boss over that GT anytime, "almost as pretty as mine" awesome

  • @ dominodayfreak

absolutly noting wrong with being heroic and happy. We do are bets to do whats wright even when europ dosent care. I gues we should have let hitler keep up his work... but we didnt thats why europ doesnt speak german today. God bless the US

  • nothing wrong with good american core values, honest, hard working, heroic, family oriented! Europeans are to inbread to show gratitude for American blood keeping them free!

  • @Lovemyshelby08 You dickhead, you white Americans are Europeans.

    Descendants of Europeans.

And European countries are in Iraq and Afghanistan fighting and suffering casualties also.

Show gratitude for Europeans creating the USA.

  • @FGalaxie im sorry to dissagree, but im pretty sure those who created the USA were americans considering that there are no "true" americans, the moment you accept the ideals of freedom and that every man has certain god given rights nomatter where you came from, that makes you an american. So those "european" colonists, and all immigrants who came to the US for a better life are all true americans. If the europeans created the USA we would call ourselves european.

  • @Itsgamerm God is man made creation, and Europeans had god before the whacky Yank chueches warped christianity.

America is no more free than any other western democracy.

It may use the cover of freedom to invade other countries thats all.

  • @FGalaxie "warped " christianity? if you mean stopped the church from owning all the money and power in the world, stopped selling indulgences to people, stopping the church's religous persecution, and praying to jesus instead of to the church, then why yes Americans did change christianity. I wasn't talking about religion by the way I was commenting on what makes the creators of the USA americans and not european. It isnt where you comefrom that makes you american.

  • @Itsgamerm Religous persecution? take a look around Yanksville.

That whole line that being American is an ideal is a scam, its been done in a dozen other republics/empires before.

  • @FGalaxie Really? name one like america. All other major empires before it have been unintegrated, mass murdering, pagan warshiping empires, we are not persecuting anybody like the roman empire who killed countless christians and jews. Yes we have some racial issues between some individuals but no other nation before us has had so many diffrent backrounds together under one flag, all equal.

  • @Itsgamerm should we list all the things america has done?

    Chile, Guetemale, nicarague, Iraq, Iran.

    Equal under one flag? hahahahaha

The wasps still run the place backed by Jew money.

the blacks and the latins just get killed in the army.

Come on when is America breaking in 2? The north USA and Jesus Land. has to happen.

  • @FGalaxie bringing jews into this discussion? Honestly grow up. Atleast the US is brave enough to do what they think is right. let me ask you this. If any other country was the superpower of the world do you think they would help anyone half as much as the united states has? You think China would forgive all the war debts america has forgiven, and do you think they would bring the same aid to areas in distress like the USA does? You know what I'm sorry you harbor so much hate in your heart.

  • @Itsgamerm Why is it bad to say things like it is?

Are jews untouchable? they are just ppl too

Just beacuse they have money and pull the sttings in America.

  • @FGalaxie no its because im talking to you about something completely diffrent and you just bring up some hate for jews?

  • this was a very good commercial. i hope this really happened to him.

  • @ctrlaltWOOT the upside is fred phepls is almost 80 years old,but the devil doesn't want him,and neither does God

  • @dalekrueger like they say the good die young

  • @Adam19822000 thats no shit

  • @ctrlaltWOOT no your not protesting anything, frankly i really like this ad

  • @ctrlaltWOOT they are a cult from topeka ks,theyre goal in life is to protest soldiers funerals, saying god is happy for dead soldiers, because the united states accepts homosexulaity

  • @ctrlaltWOOT the westbarrow baptist church, lead by fred phelps

  • @ctrlaltWOOT and those KLANS KLOWNS from topeka kansas have to show up at their funerals and protest

  • best commercial ever

  • Touching. I thought the dad was going to give him his car. I was pleasantly surprised.

  • 4:04 priceless...

  • Kyle is HOT! I love this commercial and after i saw it I bought a 2005 Mustang and LOVE it. It's in storage now, but I have to say after all the cars I have owned it's my favorite car of all time!

  • @poots2988 seems like most military men are
