  • So happy! This year, they're coming to Bonn!

  • Thier voices are both enhcanting and haunting, sweet and deadly, calm and dreadful. Thier music is both wonderous and hypnotic. I'm glad I learned of them.

  • Amazing song but...the meaning was evil...*signs* too bad

  • FabUlous!

  • Their voices are very deep it's lovely! They sing amazing, just realized they are a trio.

  • Omg I had NO idea there were 3. This is my first time seeing them live. I thought there was 1 lol

  • i KILLED THE REPLAY BUTTON!

  • does anyone get mesmerized by this (^_^)

  • @arqnohikari me and the audience ! ^^ I love this group, their performance, their outfits, and how they move their arms. I know it's stupid, but I don' know why, I think it gives strength to the song

    :)

  • Wow the crowd was pretty frikin weak, but the performance was amazing!!

  • @YunJaeGDLuv If you go to japanese live concerts the band will tell the Audience when to do para-para and well cheer and so forth. For slow songs like this people usually stand around, enjoying the concert rather than making it a misery for everyone else. Trust me, massive crowds are terrible when they decide to all push against the stage and move about.

  • I got the goosebumps. AND I'M LOVING IT!

  • very nice เพราะค่า

  • 美しい・・・・・・何もかもが。

  • One thing that I just love about their live performances is their outfits. Sometimes they have a simple elegance, and other times, like these, they're intricate and extravagant.

  • Kalafina+Yuki Kajiura= magic

  • i'm crying.. kiroshitsuji forever

  • Fav black butler ending!!! <3 ^.^

  • Japanese + Victorian = Pure epicness

  • it's so beautiful ^^ i love this song)))

  • I am SO glad Kuroshitsuji brought me here <3 I wanna be able to sing as well as they can!!

  • They're even more brilliant live! :D

  • Amazing lives and they always come equipped with fantastic costumes! Simply brilliant!

  • WAKANAさんの汗が素敵♡

  • I cant believe I've never heard this trio before. they're amazing!

  • There is gooseflesh everywhere. I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW MY SKIN COULD DO THIS.

Why have I not known about this for so long? <3

  • @TigressofDDR do you mean goosebumps? lol

  • @DragonFox84 Gooseflesh is synonymous with goosebumps. In fact, the phrase "goosebumps" came from the bumps where feathers used to be that are commonly found on the plucked skin of gooseflesh. So. XD

  • @TigressofDDR well duh the bumps be on the flesh but ive never heard anyone use gooseflesh......usually someone says this gave me goosebumps since thats the action or the effect from something else.....saying gooseflesh doesnt mean anything it doesnt show the same effect......

  • Black butler brought me here, they ahve amazing voices

  • Kalafina - Sprinter is my favourite, that track is amazing, such a masterpiece and so unique

  • *goosebumps*

  • i love this song sooooo much. They are just amazing:-)

  • <3

Yuki Kajiura has the most amazing taste in singers.

  • lovely.

  • Error T.T

  • Shit! I got goose bumps...this song is simple...BADASS!! :DD

  • The lowest voice I've ever sung is alto but this low part is just........... wow. It's like BASS! (the lowest of all)

  • How are their harmonies sosososo perfect omg.

  • こういう世界観作るの上手いなぁ

  • I have goosebumps... the harmonies, their voices... just, wow.

  • Linda musica perfeita canção

  • ah, kalafinas' live voices are really REALLY good,... I'm sitting here listening them and thinking why my speakers' volume can't go higher... ><

  • This song is like so awesome <3 It makes me feel like "WOAHHH"

  • Kalafina, you still make me shiver from listening to this song T^T *loves it so much*

Going to your live concert will be the best decision I will have ever done in my entire life...QwQ

  • this is what i call superb! they voice are just..too awesome! it's really similar to the recording!

i'm my choir, my voice is..sometime i can reach soprano voice but actually my voice is mezzosoprano. i wish i have wakana voice for sure!

  • they sound so good!

  • YAAAYZ~! i know this song from black butler/kuroshitsuji~! <3

  • Lacrimosa mean Tearful.

It's exactly how I fell when I listen to this song. I think it's the most important thing for a singer ; being capable of express his feeling.

Good job Kalafina, you're wonderful ♥

  • beautiful voice they have, like goddes voice come out from the sky~ <3

  • They actually sound VERY VERY similar to the recording...

An in-tune, live performance? SKILLS!! =D

    Beautiful song! <3

  • Oh gosh they have such pretty outfits~!

  • This is amazing . real music !

  • They're better live than on the recording.

  • Their names are Hikaru, Keiko, Wakana from left to right.

Wakana has soprano voice like a goddes.

Hikaru has mezzosoprano voice like an angel.

Sometimes her voice is dark and powerful. She has also some other voices.

Keiko has alto voice but she can cover tenor of male vocalist.

  • @supkarou Wow you really helped me out XD TY!!!! I wish I had a deep alto voice like Keiko.... I'm a soprano in my choir and my friends who are soprano, wants Keiko's voice! The altos want Wakana and Hikaru's voice! ^^;;

  • @StrawberryAbbey06 Thank you for your reply.

Kajiura-san said as follows in "Kalafina redcored" which is the book written about Kalafina.

I think that I am not able to find the female vocalists like Keiko-san in Japan.

Kajiura-san is sound producer for Kalafina.

However I think that we are not able to find the female vocalists like her in the WORLD. ^_^

Keiko-san is the really special vocalist!!

  • @supkarou Thanks again!! It's amazing! Can't explain Keiko's voice in our words! ^^ I love her the most in Kalafina. She is truly gifted!

  • @StrawberryAbbey06 I have no idea what my voice is XD it's deep and high

  • @supkarou is alto the same as contralto?

  • @XdekishiX Yes. Few month ago, Kajiura-san said on Twitter as follows:

When I was writing the song using the MIDI software for Keiko-san, that software was automatically setting F clef. Sorry Keiko-chan because this song is used lower note.

If her voice is contralto, F clef will not be used. :)

  • @supkarou Alto? I always though Hikaru is the alto and Keiko is contralto.

  • Is Keiko the pretty one in the middle? She is so beautiful! They all have extremely amazing voices!

  • @bbkikie her name is keiko. :)

  • wow, first time im heard it and im impressed :O....

sound like irland music and ost's music, it sound really aweosome !!!

  • it was so modern I think. But it was really awesome!!!!!

    I love Kalafina very much

  • @nikiwonoto THEY SANG IT AT AFA?!?!?!?I DIDNT GO AND THEY WERE PERFORMING ON MY BIRTHDAY!D:..Im gonna regret this FOR LIFE....;___;

  • just because no one else has said this yet it seems...... how many people like black butler (or for the japs, kuroshitsuji)

  • @IROCKFORME

I do. I will admit, that anime brought me here and I am so glad it did :)

They have extremely beautiful voices. I can't put into words how amazing they are,

  • @BunBunJaegseun bahaha me to, i was pretty curious the first time i heard it but my laziness got to me... after finishing the anime the 2nd time i finally looked it up...now BANG here i am

  • feels weird listening to this coming from american hip hop. but this group excells everything i expect

  • Wow... Just... Wow XD

  • I don't understand the barmaid-esque outfits that make them look like they're from the Pirates of the Caribbean set, but I'm willing to overlook that in favour of their beautiful voices. Flawless Kalafina, as always.

    And Wakana, please marry me.

  • Where did the two dislikes come from? Some language where dislike means like? :D

  • @glastheim maybe it was a mistake.^^ the dislike button is too near ;D

  • @trespalabres yap, I believe you're right :P

  • @glastheim totally agree , wtf ??

now its up to 5 O_o

  • @jaganar1 Maybe the dislikes are just mad that people are listening to this for free instead of going out and buying their album like good fans should.

  • WOW KALAFINAis just awsome!!! the vocals, the lyrics, the music, the arrangements... everything is just awsome. One of the great bands or musical group that delights us with master piecesall the time and that make the world of music still savable. • merci pour cette magnifique video qui me rapelle debons souvenirs!

  • This song always fills me with joy!!!

  • I think the view counter is broken. It's only showing my views. :/

  • @Maumiblue same here. we should write youtube a little message ;D

  • they sing in kajiuran (a language created by yuki kajiura), it's a mix between italian, spanish, latin and japanese. At the beginning, they sing :

arta via santa krishna karmita rie ilgi magida fidia

  • @555lia555 Doesnt yuki kajiura always mix languages when composing music?

  • cela va paraitre un peu idiot, mais quel genre de musique est-ce ? le terme exact ?

  • Great vocals! Gosh I love them!

  • How breathtaking it must be to see them live..

  • the outfit of the middle one reminds me of aki or akiza from yugioh 5ds

  • GOING TO KALAFINA CONCERT AT ANIME EXPO WOOOT

  • Wow. This get's my heart going. D:

  • how to say this music is beautiful. Their voice is mystic. this song transports you into another world that you have not even chosen kajuira Yuki is a great artist to write lyrics as profound and magical. Kalafina ever giving my heart

  • Goosebumps. <3

  • in the beginning what are they saying the choir? in the languge thats spoken please?

  • @halloweenfan92 That's probably a language that Kajiura Yuki, the composer, invented herself. Nobody except her knows what it means, but... That's "Kajiuran" for you, haha;;

  • It's amazing how much stage presence they have. <3

  • I was looking for gothik band Lacrimosa when i found this band and god they are so good and the music is too great i will listen to them

    good

  • lOVE WAKANA N KEIKO!!

  • Semplicemente Fantastico <3<3<3

  • trész belle chanson ♥

  • thanks to kuroshitsuji, i get to know this awesome, amazing song!!!!!

  • Amazing song! =) Love their voices so much

  • MOST MINDBLOWING TRIO IN ASIAN MUSIC: KALAFINA. In my opinion.

  • I'm gonna see them in about 6 weeks! woo!

  • @RyuseiSan I am so jealous, I wish I knew where they played.

  • @xXMercifulFallXx They were musical guests of honor at Anime Expo this year. They had an amazing video montage of Mahou Shoujo Nadoka play when they performed Magia live, and of course they performed Lacrimosa as their opener. I'm hoping to see them again, but next time being in Japan.

  • @Jahooba I'm not saying you're wrong because of your use of geographical location, but, again, because of your assumptions about the gothic style and the fact that Japan is as western as Australia.

I ain't the person to do these discussions on youtube, which this has turned out to become, so on that matter I'll inform you that I won't be using the reaction form of this video to instead react on you.

Have a nice day, good sir, lets just enjoy the music and agree to disagree.

  • vintage... looks so awesome

  • Kalafina <3 this song is amazing

  • Can anyone tell what they are saying at the beginning? I'm half guessing that it's Latin since the first word is clear enough: "Sancta". That, and the song is called "Lacrimosa".

  • you can tell some people have great voices when their recording version and their live versions are exactly the same, saying that there was no digital alterations to their voices at all.i just came from the recorded version, and yea, they sound the same amount of awesome live as anywhere.

  • So what kind of style is this? Japanese Gothic?

  • @Jahooba Ya guess so. But looks like they added some native pieces to it :o

  • @Jahooba The group was made to preform songs for an anime, so I guess it is 'film' music, although you could easily classify it as goth, I guess. Wouldn't know why 'Japanese' would be part of the genre, though.

  • @Dynomiss The gothic art style is distinctly European/ Western. Japan is not in Europe. Try as they might, Japanese girls will never be European. Hence, Japanese Gothic.
