@AwesomeGrapes Yeah. I was at Disneyland last week and I noticed that. I really enjoyed watching this video when it was shown in the opera house (now replaced by Lincoln).
Huge fan of Steve Martin, huge fan of Disneyland, and love everything about this video. A great connection to this topic is Steve Martin's book "Born Standing Up," where he talks about being an employee at Disneyland from a young age until he was a high school graduate. It's no wonder that someone so talented and whimsical grew up in the most Magical Place on the Earth.
it is an absolute crime that disney got rid of this for the "return of mr. lincoln"!!! who cares about that??? it was removed for a reason! no one went to see it! the same went with the Country Bears! they seriously need to bring this back or at least sell it on dvd!
first of all it is not a crime, walt disney said in his will that they never get rid of lincoln. it would have been an ACTUAL crime if they did not bring it back.
second, they are still showing this in the opera house lobby, it just wont be in the main theater
Hehe... I recorded this the same way I recorded other attractions that have a similar policy, such as "Soaring over California" in DCA. I did it Very, very, carefully. But this was recorded back in '05 and I honestly don't remember anyone saying you could not record. I have noticed that over the past couple years they enforce those policy's more than they used to.
@daedralord1 YES! It is one of my favorites! Robbins Barstow's "Disneyland Dream" was officially selected to be inducted in to the Library Of Congress Film Archive in... 2009...I think. I reviewed it at that time and I watch it ALL the time. That is a really great one.
Yah me to...i never got the pleasure of ever seeing lincoln...i dont think cuz iv only been to Disneyland 6 times...but i might have seen him on my 1st ever visit which was june 2002 but i cant remember???
I miss this show. I wish they still kept it. Thanks for recording this!

Great job getting the video, I never thought I'd see it again. How did you record!? They have a strict "no recording" policy!
