  • Agree with everything but #2. In 28 years lifting weights I've seen enough to be certain that the average natural weight trainer can not recover from training to failure. Personally, I didn't strart to gain until I stopped training to failure. Unfortunately I wasted 20 years doing it. Growth must be coaxed...not forced. The rest of the tips are GOLD.

    Had a question though. I do A LOT of Body Weight exercised. Calisthenics, Plyometics, things like that. Always w/ high intensity. What are your thoughts on their effect on my bodies T Levels?

  • @momomo494 i aevno idea, but me being a numbnuts i am - blurted ot ast week in the gym 'it is shocking how much strongermy bicep on my right arm is to my left arm...'. let just say it turned heads,and my friends were pissing themselves :-S lol

  • check out the p90x workouts or similar stuff. Those are very good body-weight or dumbell wieght exercises that I think build lean muscle and burn fat. Running is good too, but to get the testosterone going you need to do anaerobic/resistance training.

  • @rodgerrabid no. Talk to anyone experienced in strength training. Running works muscles aerobically. That means the muscles take in oxygen while you work. This is drastically different from anaerobic exercise, where you "burn" because the calorie burning is different in the absence of oxygen. Therefore a substitute to weights would be sprints, but squats still do a more thorough job of exhausting the muscles, i would assume.

  • @MarquisDeSexy not really. Springint isn't aerobics. It's anaerobics. That's why sprinting build muscle. And there's no way muscles "take in oxygen". Get some reading man

  • @aherrns dude, what? I think you should have read my comment more carefully. I wasn't talking about sprinting at first when I said "aerobic". And then later I did say that sprinting IS comparable to weight training in that they're both ANAEROBIC. You said "no way muscles 'take in oxygen'". Blood carries oxygen and glucose (sugar) to muscle tissue (and the whole body). The muscle cells "burn" glucose in the presence of oxygen to create energy. Google it. It's called the krebbs cycle.

    Eat on time, the same time every day

    eat more times a day in less portions

    Understand that when someone becomes dangerously obese all the doctors can do is to reduce the size of their stomach.. you can do this gradually over time, just accept being hungry for a couple of weeks.. eat the same amount of food in less portions..

    All of the above will increase metabolism.

    and walk rather than to drive,

    Do more weights than cardio,

    Make sure you stick to it

    And make sure you don't over eat.. that's what you need to look out for here

    Also look into cleaning out your colon and the rest of ur digestive system with a sea salt water flush - google it! ;)

  • Do a google search, find some detailed articles from RESPECTED sites - like a university thesis paper - what exactly vegetables contain that makes them so awesome.. then simply buy the tablet!

    If you don't like reading.. find a dietician.. who aren't the same as nutritionists (one is more qualified that the other - who'll just take ur money)

    and if you can't afford to take the tablets instead of the vedg.. or afford to pay the dietician a visit.. then suck it up and be a man.. vedg is good!

  • It's not really a question of which is better. Fish oil and flax seed oil are like apples and oranges. Certainly, people should take Omega 3 supplements as they are great for overall health, especially with keeping a healthy heart. However, this video is about fat loss and that's why I only mention flax seed oil as a proven supplement for aiding in fat loss.

  • hi, i cant do stiff legged deadlifts because of a back injury, can do just squats, calf raises, lunges, hard hill runs, also what do you think is the effect of hard anaerobic exercise on testosterone, i mean things like intense hill sessions, 4 mile interval runs, i do all this for wrestling to keep fitness up... also is a can of tuna enough for EFA, i leave all the oil in the can and eat it like that, should i supplement with extra virgin olive oil aswell, and when, night, midday, morning?

  • I do a lot of martial arts.. and have a passion for endurance sports - I researched what effects one has no the other, and it wasn't promising. lol

    As a wrestler you need stamina.. but as a body builder you'll need rest.. so the best advice when you're making muscle is to stop everything else. This unfortunately includes martial arts. But since u don't want to be a professional bodybuilder, I'd recommend one class of wrestling every Saturday.. and weights on Mon, Wed, and Fri!

  • Yah, but fell running involves an uneven surface.. this can be great for seasoned runners because it strengthens the ankles etc.. but for others it has the opposite effect. I suppose you mean hill-hill running, and not fell running!

  • yeh i know, i learnt the hard way, after whooping someones arse in wrestling, i then went on to box them, i got knocked out... but if it were wrestling and boxing, no doubt i would win, wrestling is the first, most basic ifghting system, then everything else should be built upon that, thas how all the mma fihgters these days so it, the ones who specialize in only striking dont make it far... i also dont care about fighting, i am doing wrestling as a sport only.

  • i have no secret, all i ahve been doing is a 30 minute interval run every other day, that and soccer on weekends is all the cardio i get, i guess you jsut have to find out what works for your body. Simply jsut eat less and run more... sorry for not being helpful

  • Yeah, I guess there is no substitute to good old hard work.. I've been injured for the last half year so I've not been using my lower body Muscles at all. When it comes to raising your metabolism it's all about used large muscle groups (like the legs) and commit more larger muscle fibres to each exercise.

    You know weight training is better for fat burning - because a 50 minute session of weight lifting increases the metabolism for upto 36 hours after - but 50 min cardio only a few hours hours

  • Fish Oil is better than Flax Seed Oil. Fish Oil is the direct and best source of EPA/DHA which are the best sort of omega 3 fatty acids. Flax seeds contain ALA which need to be converted into EPA/DHA and our bodys suck at doing this.
