Really. I very much agree. I've watched the whole DVD, and the director robs the plot of all sense - Rosina is locked up, but has a gaggle of girls playing with her in "Una voce poco fa"? It's a real pity when such great singing actors as Capecchi, Larmore, and Croft are involved. In fact, I think I'll upload Capecchi's earlier studio recording of this aria in response to the video - better sound quality and no distracting extras running around!
What are so many banners, too much artifacts on the scene.Ugly, messy stage.
Great baritone, I loved his singing, but I prefer not to watch.I also wonder why the orchestra is altered, but the voices are OK. Isn't it weird?

Mr Capecchi sure would deserve another female partner... Her acting in this video is crap.

Great performance of Bartolo

I really like this particular performance of this aria. It is a shame that the sound is a bit wonky, though.

GRANDE CAPECCHI!

Capecchi is very good, and also the most physically fit Bartolo I've seen. (maybe too much so, as I think Bartolo should be squat and dumpy.)

IT'S THE SOUND OF THE TAPE, NOT THE ORCHESTRA. Some of you clearly do not remember VHS.

the orchestra is shit

Clearly just the VHS interfering. I definitely would advise Rosina to un po mellio imposturar, though.

That orchestra is awful! Seriously, it sounds like every single instrument is tuned differently. But nice patter, Mr. Capecchi...
