i remember when my hair was exactly like your hair, now its really ugly i dont think am ever gonna have my hair back to cute curls =( it breaks a lot and its been a year since i have the same lenght, i regreat all ive done to my poor hair ='/ lol
Natural Hair that is Dyed; is still Natural Hair. The Color may not be Natural but the Texture is. When it's chemically altered to look European Straight then there's nothing Natural About it.
also, when i had my daughters, i had c-sec's & my hair shedded due to the meds in the epidural(sp) idk if u had that, but that too can make your hair shed for a few mths. i was so upset bcuz i had thining @ the temples & had to holistically treat my scalp afterwards. i grew back in a month though :)
diet can also contribute to hair shedding. especially if u are anemic. milk consumption & diary can rob the body of iron & other nutrients & can cause anemia & lead to hair shedding. fyi, i've done the research for 5yrs & since becoming vegan, i dont have a shedding issue & nolonger anemic since 2005 yet was born w/the condition & had it until 05. many blessings 2 U! thanks for the tips too. your hair is gorgeous :)
@randahlirene Hi, I read your comment about being anemic and hair shedding. I am anemic and I had no idea that caused hair shedding. No matter what I do, my hair sheds or breaks and I really don't know why. You've inspired me to do some research for myself. Thank you!
@h0llywh0 Never comb your dry hair and you'll save it from snapping. If you have to comb, add an oil and leave in conditioner for slip. IT will make it damp but you can style and gently comb with a wide tooth without that snapping.
@h0llywh0 I don't know the condition of your hair but if you are using a wide toothed comb and being gentle then you may have sever damaged ends that need to be cut/trimmed. that's probably what it is. I had to do that back in Aug '10
So glad you said that about oil. I've been natural for years but flat ironed. Last june I started wearing it natural. I'm still learning, and I've always hated greasy hair. So, I wouldn't add anything other then condish. Now I realize my error and make sure I add a leave-in and seal with oil. And maybe some type of cream like shea moisture. It's all about moisture. thanks for the vid.
shedding after having a baby is natural cuz of your hormones going back to normal after the baby

@TheK12student that really depends on your hair type. shea protects but weighs some hair down, like mine. there are lighter choices.

Shedding is natural after child birth because you have minimal turnover of new hair follicles during pregnancy. Your hair look great!
