The game is combinated with art, beautiful music and a slower gameplay which adds to the relaxing feeling while playing, 3. I'ts one of those games that are different compared to todays games that are action based and having realistic graphics. 4. This game adds special things to the gameplay like for example: time warping. Enough?

@devonlove1234 Well I think the whole idea here is in the game design. To me, Call of Duty 4 is like Doom but with much better Graphics and sound (not assuming you like CoD4, just an example). Turn into a corridor, "blam, blam" and some guys are dead. The way forward is to reinvent the way that games are structured and how they challenge the player, which is exactly what is happening in Braid. I just think you have to look at it a little more subjectively to enjoy it.

Tried this game at a friend's house, it was pretty entertaining and I think I'll end up buying it on XBLA. Really great game, too bad the chimps out there start hooting and hollering and throwing their own shit if any and I mean ANY new game that's released isn't just another brown FPS. As somebody who actually owns about 16 brown FPSs, I think I...you know...want another genre.

It reminds me of my old days playing Giana Sisters or James Ponds. Not many games do that.

I could care less about any score. I don't even know it's score, nor do I want to. I like this game, period.

The biggest plus it the level editor. Other players can create whole complex worlds and you can play it.

I do not think the game is childish at all. First of all the graphics are just awesome, I love that painted like effect! Another game with a very nice style is P.B. Winterbottom. BUt anyways, It aint childish because it has very philiphosical thoughts behind it. If you pause the begin of the video you can read the texts and then you will notice this game has been given good thought! In my opnion one of the best (looking) Puzzle games...

The end of the stages do resemble Mario since you finish the level by raising a flag on a pole and then you see that weird dinosaur who says the princess is in another castle. Anyway that's the only thing so no use comparing it to Mario.

This game is awesome. gamespot gave this game a 9.5 because it is a unique experience. U just dont get such games these days. Sure i would playthe god of wars and gran turismos but there are many games of the genre but such games like braid are hard to find and for 15$ its a great deal. Its the best downloadable game period. I play killzone 2 all the time but i still wanna play this game.

So what that it's an old game? Old doesn't mean bad. Old can be amazing. Just take a look at some of the remakes available. HD or not.

It can be 20 years old, and still be fun. I mean I remember my days where I played James Pond (super mario-ish game but with a penguin), and still play it today occasionally.
