  • Oh yeah. I forgot to mention. The sounds you are getting out of this SX240 are insane for the price they go for. Very nice, complex sounds. The portamento is awesome.

  • I new your name looked familiar. I'm the guy with the Linndrum. You commented on my Korg Polysix video Factory Patches video a few weeks ago. See, its just a small group of us nuts out there.

  • @dzlvs8

Really really really loving the LinnDrum! I didn't realise that there were different revs on these. rev 1a ( the one I bought from you) and a rev b. Not much difference at all except they re-postioned a few things on the inside. Indeed, Small synth-world for sure.

    Thanks again Steve!

  • This is the first piece I learned. It took over two months. When I got the SX240 in March, I hadn't played for 25 years. I read the top for singing but have to think about the bass. I'm learning Bach prelude in C minor. It's taken me a month to do the top from memory, haven't added the bottom yet. I filmed my Aunt playing it on the SX240. She filmed me playing the melody of Equinoxe 4 but I don't know how to do all the parts at once with Jarre's music.

  • Your films are very helpful.I enjoyed watching how you altered things while playing, I'm not good at this. I put in the F sounds from the tape I bought from Kawai. 2010AD is beautiful and exciting. I played God Save the Queen on this, very peculiar! I liked the one you did after 2010, is that the same sound altered or another you made up? Last week, I got a sound like a melodian by accident, by increasing the filter attack time on a sound by the last owner.

God save the queen = very nice Laura. it would be intereresting to hear that for sure :) I altered patch 2010 just a bit and created it as 2012! I then expanded on that by layering it with Echo-1 in dual mode. Of course you can tweak each of the layered sounds in dual mode for furthur sound shaping. I also have to say I am running one output channel into an analogue delay and the other output dry into an amplifier... So nice to pan different sound textures... All the best!
