i remember this logo being on the end of both The Goonies and Pee-Wee's Big Adventure. Unfortunately on the DVD's the logos have been cut out and replaced with present day WB logos.
As for other films this stand-alone logo appears on were Cannonball Run II, Neverending Story, Grandview USA, and Spies Like Us. Seemed to me to be seen more during the 1984-1985 period.
Wonder what circumstances dictated the use of this logo?
I have it on said movie on VHS, my bother has this on the 1st edition copy of The Exorcist on DVD. I also saw this at the end of Spies Like Us on XBox 360's Netflix feature.
Were there any movies from 1989 to early 1990 that had the 1972 WB Distribution logo with the "W" logo on a red background or did they only use the WB Shield by that point?
@Jac2Mac I think they used the WB shield because I thought WB started to change the "The Big //" end logo to "WB Shield" logo in 1987, just like WB did in 2001 for 1998 logo.
@Rlotpir1972 That was after the fake late 50's "That's all folks!" end title transitioned into the "W" logo afterwards. I have seen this since I was a kid, but sadly, the end title before the "W" was frozen at the last second.
@1986Sheri Scarecrow and Mrs. King was a espionage TV drama series that starred Kate Jackson (formerly of Charlie's Angels fame) and Bruce Boxleitner as Amanda King and Lee "Scarecrow" Stetson that originally aired from October 1983 until May 1987 on CBS-TV.
BTW, I was not watching "Roots," it was a tape from the early 1990s, and I was watching the commercials, apparently, the tape was used for a showing of "Roots TNG" from The Family Channel at one time.

This is not the Warner Bros Television logo. It is the ending logo used on some Warner Bros movies until late 1988.

Some 1968 colorized Looney Tunes aired in 1988-1990 ALSO uses this logo after the closing graphic.

actually this one was used even after 1988 on some shows.
This version of the WB logo sometimes appeared on some post-S1 (1983-84) episodes of "Scarecrow and Mrs. King" on the old Family Channel reruns.
And this version also accidently slipped up at the end of a few episodes on old USA Network reruns of "Just the Ten of Us" as well.

Underrated logo.

This is on Season Nine DVD of "Dallas", which was from 1985-1986. So I guess that means it was used past 1984?

I also saw this on a few movies. I loved this logo so much, especially when it's "stand-alone" and not in-credit.

I borrowed a tape from my now ex-boyfriend last winter, and it had this logo on it after an airing of "Roots: the Next Generation."
