Hard to tell for sure, but it sounds like you lifted at, or just before the apex. If so, that's why you went off there...

@hondafixer Yea, I did after I felt the slide and it sure didn't help! I felt was heavy understeer/plowing through the apex right when I hit the curbing. It felt like I was going to go off track-left if I let it go. I over-reacted. I had lots of room to track-out so the right thing to do would just let the wheel out a bit with a little lift to reload the front a touch. Instead I fought it and added steering, then jumped on the brakes to bleed speed, causing the tank slapper. To the skidpad! :)

you reckon u coulda saved it by counter steering earlier?

@JnrlPhalanx no idea :) it happened so fast - I'm not sure when I started. I got the inside tire up on the curbing, and thats when it all went down hill. There was a wall on the left side as well, so i REALLY didn't want to cause the car to cut across track, through traffic, and into the other wall head-first. I just wanted to not hit nose-first. I'm sure a better driver could have saved it, but I'd rather not be in a position to find out :)
