I am very impressed with the snake in this fight.I didnt realize they were so quick and agile; I thought they were sluggish. However, I thought snakes like this tend to attack large prey from trees. It doesn't seem natural that a snake like this would just come slithering along the ground to attack a tiger.

@snakey934 umm...U Jelly, until recently the longest known reticulated python was 32 feet and adults only grow to that size extremely rarely, let alone 39 feet usually.
But now apparently a 48 foot python was found in sumatra that was being kept in captivity by a tribe that considered it a god. Fucking awesome

Large pythons have enough strength to constrict a tiger thats for sure but they have to coil the cat completely to do that and thats not going to be easy because the cat has fast reflexes.

I would like to see this video of a "700" pound tiger getting beat on by a jaguar seeing as they don't live on the same continent I don't think pythons and jaguars are on the same continet either. Quite frankly the vast majority of people from the US I have met, has taken one look at my pet python, and say "that thing should be killed" or "I'd just chop it's head off". Looked more like the tiger attacked the python. Is this from one of Frank Buck's documentaries, from the 1920s to 1930s? He was a famous animal trapper for circuses and zoos and wrote books about his exploits such as Bring 'Em Back Alive, On Jungle Trails, and Fang and Claw. He was also known for setting up situations.
wow im amazed how the tiger actually have strategy when it tries to escape. it tries to save up strength even when the snake was constricting and tried to look for the snake's head. when it found the head the tiger bit it and starts to roll and as it roll it fishes for space and hold it with his claw . and as he rolls he makes more and more space till it escaped.

It's natural for humans to go back to the biggest killer around. We revere them still, in our subconscious we look at them almost as mortal gods.
Of course, a large Kodiak Bear can weigh somewhere around 1,500lbs at the max. They are capable of killing anything one on one. Same with Polar Bears. But they would never see any of these animals. Different continents.
A python fighting a large lion or tiger really wouldn't be a whole lot different than a python fighting a medium sized grizzly bear, or large black bear. They are simply too big, and too powerful at that level. The python would be history.
This fight was obviously set up for the python to win. Looks like their plan backfired big time! Even without claws or teeth, the tiger was still able to use it's incredible strength to force the snake to realease it's grip. It would be extremely hard for a snake to coil a cat that is over 200lbs. At least not enough to keep it from using it's claws and teeth. But in this case, the tiger doesn't have either one! That makes it that much more impressive.
@wolf987123 Coming from someone who keeps reticulated pythons I can tell that the snake in this video was either drugged or sick. Retics move very rapidly and will wrap their coils around a prey in seconds. This is nothing more than a cheap staged encounter, the snake in this video also fought a crocodile and a leopard.
@tigertic1 How does anyone here figure the tiger won. He got some bites in and no doubt did harm to the snake. But in the end the snake had the tiger wrapped up. When the tiger got free he decided he had enough and left the snake alone. Looks like a win for the snake to me. lol. But I agree with you. retics are much quicker than this guy was. @deandre2420 those wounds are not caused by splinter or something like that, it was caused by 3 inches fangs and claws that were used with great power of a tiger. therefore , healing fast would not be enough for these wounds for those wounds are lethal. there are also many videos , tigers killing pythons on youtube , you can search for it. and idk , that tiger seemed a bit young to me , consider if that tiger was:

@likes4Fun if you watch closely youll notice the snake changes to a bigger one. 1:19 the snake is relatively skinny but at 2:13 the snake is alot thicker and longer, probably because the tiger killed the first one, just like the lion in the gir fight

Quite frankly the vast majority of people from the US I have met, has taken one look at my pet python, and say "that thing should be killed" or "I'd just chop it's head off". So until people show that they are capable of respecting my reptiles, that I will not respect them. Simple as that. I am aware that there are plenty of intelligent people in the US. But I'm judging based on the majority. Just how I am. I hate China for shark-finning, and Japan for dolphin slaughter as well.

Looked more like the tiger attacked the python. Is this from one of Frank Buck's documentaries, from the 1920s to 1930s? He was a famous animal trapper for circuses and zoos and wrote books about his exploits such as Bring 'Em Back Alive, On Jungle Trails, and Fang and Claw. He was also known for setting up situations.

wow im amazed how the tiger actually have strategy when it tries to escape. it tries to save up strength even when the snake was constricting and tried to look for the snake's head. when it found the head the tiger bit it and starts to roll and as it roll it fishes for space and hold it with his claw . and as he rolls he makes more and more space till it escaped.

Of course, a large Kodiak Bear can weigh somewhere around 1,500lbs at the max. They are capable of killing anything one on one. Same with Polar Bears. But they would never see any of these animals. Different continents.

A python fighting a large lion or tiger really wouldn't be a whole lot different than a python fighting a medium sized grizzly bear, or large black bear. They are simply too big, and too powerful at that level. The python would be history.

This fight was obviously set up for the python to win. Looks like their plan backfired big time! Even without claws or teeth, the tiger was still able to use it's incredible strength to force the snake to realease it's grip. It would be extremely hard for a snake to coil a cat that is over 200lbs. At least not enough to keep it from using it's claws and teeth. But in this case, the tiger doesn't have either one! That makes it that much more impressive.

@wolf987123 Coming from someone who keeps reticulated pythons I can tell that the snake in this video was either drugged or sick. Retics move very rapidly and will wrap their coils around a prey in seconds. This is nothing more than a cheap staged encounter, the snake in this video also fought a crocodile and a leopard.

@tigertic1 How does anyone here figure the tiger won. He got some bites in and no doubt did harm to the snake. But in the end the snake had the tiger wrapped up. When the tiger got free he decided he had enough and left the snake alone. Looks like a win for the snake to me. lol. But I agree with you. retics are much quicker than this guy was. Only other possibility I see other than a staged encounter is if the snake were sleeping. Doubtful. Looks staged to me too. I think it sucks they did that.

Videos from the old days, like this one, were notoriously staged. Producers of "nature" shows like this were constantly staging attacks like this so it would be no surprise to me if this were one also. It would be nearly impossible for the tiger to escape a healthy retic once he's in the snake'c coils.
