Take it down and get four chains anchored to the braces all connecting to one chain. hang from a large tree with a sturdy branch. Throw in a blanket or large cushion. Instant dish hammock.
My Dad Had a Satellite Dish The Same as yours We got the Satellite Dish in 1990 I Remember I was 7 Years old I remember Geting in all your Americia Station's in from Canada I hit Select Sat botton to Move Satellite Dish To G5 24 The Disney Channel west , G5-5 CNN News, G5-6 TBS Superstation, G5-7 WGN and G5-8 Cartoon Network , G5-17 TNT, G5- 18 The Nashville Network, G5- 23 A&E Art's Entertainment and F3- 19 The Family Channel, G1-8 The Weather Channel. Yep I miss the old Satellite Dish.
Yeah, as the poster below me said, if that's C-Band(or Ku-band, which I would doubt), you could pick up a couple regular stations for free. It seems most free to air programming now is religious or foreign. Thanks for posting this, Billy. I've just gotten into satellite stuff.
Assuming that dish is C-band, with the right receiver (check ebay, most everything is digital now) you can still pick up all kinds of interesting free programming. You may need to grease the actuator arm if the dish has sat unused for a few years.

This is pretty cool! We used to have satellite, but our dish is on our house and it is about 1/3 that size. This is a pretty cool source of history.

Cool dish. A friend of mine and one of my grandmothers had dishes like this back in the early-to-mid '90s.

Holy heck, we had one of these at my old school! For a while I thought it was big because of all the TV's in our school. Now I realize I am wrong.
