  • Nice playing, I've always believed the harmonica is great for klezmer.

  • Thanks I have no depth perception and am very farsighted even as a child so basically I had to learn to play music the same way you describe...I began by playing piano at age 5 and that's how I did it. Glasses do not help...so I can read music but have to memeorize it too bacause I cannot sight read on the fly...you are not alone but sound great and have passed your comments to my shul Klezmer group in Maryland.

  • Do you have any music for this I am in a Klezmer group and we are always looking for music

  • Sheet music for this song can be found in "The Compleat Klezmer" by Henry Sapoznik. Amazon sells it. We also did a video of "Dovid, Shpil Es Nok A Mol" from the same book. I don't read music well so I just transposed it note-by-note and memorized it. I play my part on Lee Oskar Bb Harmonic Minor and Lee Oskar Db Diatonic harmonicas. Bill plays an antique 1950's era Hohner Harmonetta.

    Thanks for your interest.

  • Kevin that tongue-flutter reminds me a little of the great Gwen Foster! Very nice!

  • @chromatonic

Home run @Chromatonic! "Bay Rum Blues", that's where I... Uh... stole it. Thanks.
