@dreamworldlala Ya. In Canada, i really enjoy the Terry Fox run because it keeps me in shape and were all doing it for cancer. Meanwhile in U.S.A. they are eating burgers 1 by 1 every second of the day chugging 350,000 litres of pepsi down their throats talking trash about Canada and how much our country sucks.
terry fox is the best man to ever live in canada. He saved so many kids from cancer we have to learn from this guy R.I.P Terry i will always remember you forever.
@ProfessorBallsAss You mean the best Canadian who ever lived besides me… jk. He was a Hero. Even better than spiderman, and that movie was awesome! lol.
The 24 people that disliked this video are honestly probably some of the worst people on the world if they would do something like that. Terry Fox was an amazing person. Seriously, just get a life -- He ran a marathon every day, his goal to run across Canada. With one leg. So just piss off, if you really think that this is some sort of joke.
LMFAO!!!! Canadians have so little to show the world that they place a disabled kid as one of their true heroes.... TF had a big heart, true, but the kid has no world figure status... never will... he is only a canadian obsession.... sad but true...
@Dakotaangel1: ENVY??? LMFAO!!!!! Canada is a cheap country with the worst weather, no culture or technology of their own, no military power, no history, no roots, no traditions, no truly big companies, NO NOTHING!!!!! Why the fuck would anyone have envy of such a mediocre nation???? Please explain me, PLEASE!!!!
@Sattack210 Canadians aren't really caught up in too much pride with their country. We don't look down on others and we don't go on big ego trips because of "wealth" or "power". This attitude keeps us out of trouble. We're a very down to earth country and we're very welcoming. We respect other Countries. Unfortunately, there are other countries who rear their ugly head because of how much they have or how much they've achieved. We don't give a fuck about any of that stuff.
@patrickdwyer: Not much pride???? You canucks are hypocrite beyond belief!!!!! You always claim to live in the "best country in the world" which of course produces the "best people in the world" and now you tell me you don´t have too much pride and a massive ego???? You can´t show wealth simply because you DON´T have it, and no, canada is NOT welcoming as you say, you treat your skilled immigrants like shit... sure you don´t care about achievements, yeah sure... LMFAO!!!
@Sattack210 Grow up man. This shit is supposed to be about Terry Fox but your beef with Canada has totally gotten in the way. Here's a problem with the world: The inability to see others as human beings like themselves because of the barriers created by countries. You're a very good example of that. Who gives a fuck where I'm from... Canada, Africa, England. I speak the truth. And because of your shitty attitude, you can't even appreciate Terry Fox just because he's from Canada.
@Sattack210 I don't give a shit about what you think of Canada man. But if I were a person dying of cancer, looked up to Terry Fox and appreciated what he tried to do for me, I would be pissed at these ignorant comments. Some douchebag in the world thinking he got something to prove by bashing another country. Meanwhile we got a tribute video above to a guy who spent the final year of his life trying to raise money for those dying. Dude, you ought to be ashamed of yourself.
@patrickdwyer: Seems you never read what I wrote in the first place... I respect the kid, but a mediocre country (canuckland) tries to make him a world class figure... and he is not...
@Sattack210 "On Sept. 19, 2010, the 30th annual Terry Fox Run was held. So far, the event has raised $553 million for cancer research. And it has gone global. In 2008 alone, more than two million people in 28 countries took part in Terry Fox runs. Those locations included Afghanistan, Viet Nam, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Malaysia, France, Belgium and the United States."
@Sattack210 Did you just say "NO TRULY BIG COMPANIES". You like corporations to run your country? Are you fucking kidding me?.. you're so out of touch with reality.. just stay in the US and pay your corrupt politicians who love to help out those big corporations that pay ZERO TAX. what a joke.
@Sattack210 Here's a good idea. Why don't you forget about "countries" and "world statuses" and just plainly respect the man for what he's done and for what he tried to achieve? What you're mentioning isn't really the principle behind what the man set out to do. Very ignorant comment. Perfect example of what's wrong with the world. We need to forget about achievements and cut down barriers that separate countries. And plainly respect others (heroes like Terry Fox) for their intentions.
I am desperately looking for the 1983 movie DVD "The Terry fox Story" with Eric Fryer and Robert Duvall but it seems it hasn't been published yet and only exists in VHS. When one sees how much rubbish is published on DVD but not this heroic story, it's a real shame !
When you think that life has beaten you down and you can't take another day, remember this boy. Remember his dream and try to imagine what everyday of his run must have been like for him. Imagine the strength that this young child had inside him, and then got off your sad ass and go take on your day. If Terry could do what he did, who the hell are you to feel sorry for yourself and what you have to do??
@HardRokMiner i know because in my school a girl about 10 years old hurt her knee that you could just let it slip in a few minutes and she was crying and complaining and i went to here saying thats nothin people have gone through more than just a little tumble
I feel ashamed of myself after seeing Terry. a True Hero. I shall try to run my best to participate in the Terry fox run and raise money for his dream :(

@scoben31 It was added 5 years ago, back when YouTube still used the Star-Rating system of 1 to 5
A lot of those are 3 and 4 star ratings (actually, most of them are)
When YouTube converted from the 1.00-5.00 ratings-value system to the Like/Dislike system, they converted videos' existing Ratings into the new format; simple algorithm
ie. 9 ppl vote a video to a 3.33 rating, becomes 6 Likes, 3 Dislikes
Most ppl don't seem to know this, or realize that videos retained their ratings-positions.

how could someone dislike this? holy fuck this is like the most inspirational and beautiful thing ever. if u dislike this i literally hope u go to hell
This guy is far from the greatest Canadian. He didn't do any cancer research or fund the cause. Guilting people into donating money is not a skill. Alexander Graham Bell and Sir Frederick Banting are much greater men.
@JacksonXxXWaWa For what? Terry Fox was an admirable man but after the Marathon of Hope, Canadians began propping up mediocrity on a pedestal. People who don't actually have any ability are given credit for "raising awareness" or "giving back to the community." Sorry, but you don't deserve a standing ovation for wearing a ribbon, blowing a whistle and walking down the street.
<333 Terry fox is an encouraging human for us all. He taught us never to give up and push through and follow your dreams. He proved you can accomplish almost anything you set your mind too. He even taught the people with Cancer not to be sad or ashamed to have cancer and that cancer does not make you an outcast. He is a national wide hero Rest in Peace Terrance Stanley fox...
"Run For all of us" is this a joke because unless your a cancer patient run for yourself lol thats a big negative over. its like saying "terry you go fight the war for us".. you my friend, write history with your own feet. over and out. hooah!
The human being would walk 4 to 5 times around the world in a lifetime, however Terry's walk is far much longer than that, because when you add his steps you add up the pain and the love and that my friends is an infinity walk, that walks after he's long gone, walks in history and in the hearts of his love ones. Thank you Terry.
I remember watching him run past my house and a week later finding out he died while doing what he believed in. He opened alot of people's eyes including Rick Hansen.
Terry Fox was the biggest canadian hero of all time, I remembering seeing him come into toronto on his run, he was so brave, a true hero, god bless terry Fox
When I was in grade 2, terry would run by Glen School in Poco (maybe he was training?)l. With that skip hop swoosh I like to call it. We'd all turn around and look, puzzled, not quite knowing what to think. A lady that lived down the street was having coffee one day with my mum and there was a piece in the local paper about this kid who was going to run across Canada on one leg (I had no idea what was going on at the time) She laughed like he was crazy...and thank God he was.........
A defining moment in Canadian history, Terry Fox fought a valiant battle against cancer and raised awareness and millions of dollars for research in the process. He is the ultimate Canadian.
I know a police officer who followed Terry through Peterborogh and later down hwy 115. The police officer told me that Terry had to stop running to soak up the blood from his amputated leg every once and awhile. Terry Fox is a hero who will never be forgotten. What a human being, the whole time he was doing this, he was under extreme pain. I can't think of a greater human being!!!!!!!!!!!! R.I.P Terry
@msloudmouth82 TF is a true Canadian hero, no question about it. I respect him more than anyone. But that police officer was wrong. Terry's bleeding had stopped, well before he started his marathon. Google it. He was just making sure his prosthetic leg was still securely attached because he was jogging almost literally non-stop.
Terry Fox is a hero. I was born in Thunder Bay, Ontario and that is where Terry Fox got very sick and had to stop. However there is a giant beautiful statue there to commemorate his selfless acts and heroism. Terry Fox is a Canadian hero and a inspiration to all people everywhere.
@UltMitSinner78 I found it ironic that Eric Staal was recently pictured with a teshirt: Hockey Fights Cancer. He was born in Thunder Bay after Terry had stopped and died. If I ever get to Canada again (and the last time was April 1978), I'd surely want to visit the nearly three-meter statue.
Terry Fox is and will always be more then just a Canadian hero. He is a hero to the world. Growing up in Houston, Tx. I remember following his marathon of hope as a young teen and being so inspired by him. He made us all proud!
I am from Terry's home town. I graduated from Terry Fox high school. This year my middle school raised $36,900 for the Terry Fox Foundation. Terry continues to inspire the young people of our communities. The marathon of hope is still being run...the torch has been passed to another generation.

my hero!
choupafly 9 months ago
This guy is far from the greatest Canadian. He didn't do any cancer research or fund the cause. Guilting people into donating money is not a skill. Alexander Graham Bell and Sir Frederick Banting are much greater men.
KeyserGalt 9 months ago
@KeyserGalt if it's so easy, then i'd like to see you get people to raise $30 million for cancer research.
yeah that's what i thought you fucking tool. banting and fox and the greatest canadians enough said.

@KeyserGalt be ashamed of your self !

We ALL have to learn something from him. He teached us that as much life can kick you, you can kick life. Run Terry, run for all of us.

Alejandraa796 11 months ago 15

How Can 22 People Be Against Hope & Raising Money For Cancer? That Makes Me More Sad Then The Story Its Self.
MapleBalls 11 months ago 7

R.I.P Terry
msloudmouth82 1 year ago 36
@msloudmouth82 TF is a true Canadian hero, no question about it. I respect him more than anyone. But that police officer was wrong. Terry's bleeding had stopped, well before he started his marathon. Google it. He was just making sure his prosthetic leg was still securely attached because he was jogging almost literally non-stop.

0:01 He did not live. But he was ABSOLUTELY deserving of life! A true Canadian hero!

UltMitSinner78 1 year ago 5
