Great performance. Though on "I Guess That's Why They Call It The Blues," the trouble with Elton's throat at this time is really evident, he struggles to sing it.

this is just before he had surgery on his throat to remove a growth on his vocal chords. that's why his voice is so raspy during this show (and why his voice was so different afterwards).
