The only thing this shows is that cavalier idiots work for Outback. They act like this video is real, right? So we are supposed to think that in real life, this crew is surprised to see a guy standing on a billboard that is on fire... and they keep filming? Really? Instead of dropping the camera, moving the truck to get him down, or helping him? The guy jumps/falls 20 feet and doesn't reappear from behind that truck, and nobody cares? And all they say is: "There goes our bonus"? Horrible crew.

Innovative at one point in time in that it did raise interest by using a unique way to catch attention.

But now, viral marketing is painfully derivative and highly irritating.

Maybe advertising should go back to the basics: just tell prospective customers about the deal and why it's worthy of their time and money.

In short, this viral ad is BULLSHIT and, frankly, did not make me any more interested in Outback Steakhouse now than before.

Plus, it's sociopathic to keep holding the camera and talk about a bonus when a coworker may be dying on the ground (shorter falls have killed many).
