I propose the fight in the black church now against prosperity is to promote a codependent culture, dependent on government for everything to further promote the want of a socialistic society.People say they are fighting "capitalism" but they need to know that they are fighting "corporatism" & they should promote capitalism because its about being self sufficient & was iniatially here for entrepreneurs. cont....
cont... Corporations send your jobs overseas because we have become a dependent nation. But if we were entrepreneurial we'd be doing business with China ourselves.
I like when he said, "money doesnt make you happy but happy makes you money." Its amazing how a few years ago churches incouraged prosperity, but now its not the trend to promote prosperity. Its as though to remain impoverished or work hard and make little is back is indeed the trend as well as to fight the government to support us through welfare & to insist on our entitlement for the government to provide as 100% caretakers. Well I submit that prosperity will ease our dependence on gov aid.
@selfexplanitory Thank you for your comment. I would also like to say that if mindsets were changed as well, the whole concept of the "hater" could ease up in the hip hop & black culture because it seems to have "haters" means you have arrived. Yet I present another proposal, if the "there can only be one" mentality could be changed to "each one reach one" then one can benefit from the prosperous tangibly (when family or community) or thru inspiration and imitation (education & guidance).
@Whatever3098 Even if the inspiration comes from videos like this one on youtube. Everyone doesnt know someone personally but "by-golly" this youtube is an excellent source of knowledge & inspiration.
@lopytube Im talking about the teaching of prosperity. The more prosperity, the less need from the state. Im not familiar with "who is getting approach by the state". I am familiar with prosperity teaching and since churches are being deceived away from this knowledge and people are being encouraged to pick either a slave mentality of poverty or getting rich by immoral behavior, I have decided to get my teachings from other sources such as this video.
I read a portion of his first book on what inspired him to get started in hip-hop and his clothing company he saw a fine line between the sub-culture and hip hop that he saw ralph lipsnichke taking away from our sub-culture and capitalized on it oh ralph lauren lol!!! great book
@Jinjerella You're such nearsighted idiot. Wealth/rich-- both he and many thinkers said -- comes from within. He does give to various charities; he a philanthropist; a philanthropic individual with 5 charities that he founded and can boast about, but he doesn't.
I believe that this man is my role model. I plan to show this man that I too can be Russell Simmons or better because of what he has showed us in his action. Peace and love. Bakpakchan

I love that idea of not being part of the "collective", but rather being the "director" of your life, thoughts, and movement
