The original Mario Land suffered from floaty controls and was too short yet an OK Mario debut game for the GB; Mario Land 2 was better but a bit too easy for some; Wario Land was only a Mario Land game because of its subtitle, and cause it's actually Wario game, it controls different

Well, it's a trick really.

I mean, the game cartridge was probably inserted in a gameboy color/advance, which offers the option to play in limited color. You can then select a 'color set' before the game starts by using A B or the D-pad. Obviously, this video is made with different color sets in each shot, so it wasn't recorded in one take.

Still cool though.

I never really thought about it before, but SML 2 doesnt have near as good music as SML 1 or SMW, not quality wise, it just doesnt sound very typical mario-ish if you know what i mean

there was an addon for the SNES called Super Gameboy which allowed you to play Gameboy games on the SNES. Basically just a SNES cartridge with a slot for Gameboy cartridges on the top.
