Kind of funny that republicans can call Democrats traitors when the republicans are the real traitors. Whenever Palin criticizes Obama, it is so funny, and when we criticize Obama, they call us sexist. Wake up people to the republican terrorism propaganda. If you don't, republicans will successfully destroy this country within the decade.
Palin opens herself up for attacks and the hand notes that one was easy.Besides no one said being a politician was easy if you cant take the heat stay out of the kitchen.
Palin is a complete airhead. And very dangerous when someone that stupid is trying to be in politics. Let's stop pretending she isn't an idiot with no desire to learn past grade school knowledge She should be mocked by anybody who wants to because she doesn't have the responsibility within herself to learn anything. She just lazily calls people traders and her and don't get me started on the retard thing
Palin took flak for the notes on her hand because she had criticized Obama for relying on Teleprompters at the same event. Gibson is an idiot and the current administration needs to be held to higher standards, instead of running around playing gotcha back.
Poor Sarah Palin! She can poke fun at everyone else, but when anyone retorts with humor ... poor Sarah! I agree with her defenders in that we should pity her. Oh, she can shoot a moose almost as sharply as she can shoot her mouth ... but she can't answer simple questions in a real interview and she can't take a joke. She better just go back to Alaska and keep her eye on those pesky Russians!
But yeah, the administration needs to poke fun of Wall Street bankers and corporate fatcats rather than Palin. That's where their energy should be focused, but it's not. Interesting.
what about all of baracks friends?oh thats right he can live it up inthe white house and pelosi?! yeah its all wall street and the bankers get real!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well, you may be right, but if you think that Goldman Sachs and the Wall Street crooks just started operating in Washington DC when Obama took over the White House, you've not been paying attention.
Corruption and out-of-control bankers is a problem that permeates our political process regardless of who's in charge.
While it would be great if Obama could end it, or wanted to end it, he didn't create the problem. It's been there for a long time.
Oh I'm sorry, I thought you were accusing Obama of being in bed with bankers and Wall street.
I didn't realize you're actually cool with those cats.
Yeah, we disagree. I think Wall Street and laissez-faire government are the problem. I think more people should have the power, not the bankers and the CEOs, but I understand some people don't agree with me.
@goodganews "I think Wall Street and laissez-faire government are the problem." It IS and we had 8 years to see the damage it has done and DON'T think that you're going to vote Obama out just yet folks. Already John Boehner is ready to give in on some of the President's ideas. Want to ensure Obama's 2nd term? Tell the GOP top keep saying "No" to everything and encourage them to talk about getting rid of Social Security.
Hey, that's a good start. Now use those six words and elaborate on them for over an hour without using a teleprompter. I want to hear more about this hope and change thing. How's that working out? Please continue, my little pink chuckle monkey.
People keep talking about Obama's use of a teleprompter. He did meet with the GOP, answered unscripted questions for more than an hour without a teleprompter.
The last president couldn't do that and I doubt Palin could either.
But hey why let reality get in the way of a rigid ideology?
What parts of anyone's speech have I regurgitated? I don't dispute that the previous president couldn't do that. I'm no fan. However, he's gone. You should get over it and (as you say) don't be a rigid ideologist.
Um, Palin said something like "How's that hopey changey thing working out for you?" Hence the regurgitation comment.
Nothing I said suggests a rigid ideology. I simply disagree with your comment, that's not rigidity per se.
And just because Bush isn't the president, it's completely valid to talk about him. We're still talking about Lincoln, Washington, Jackson, Roosevelt, etc. It's legitimate to discuss the past, especially since it was only months ago.
Okay. I didn't watch the whole speech and didn't know about the hopey changey thing. I agree that it is proper and necessary to make comparisons to the past. However, we should live in the present and look toward the future and try not to make the same mistakes made previously. (Pardon the campaignish sloganism.) I think because it was almost 13 months ago we should start focusing on the current problems. End of my replies. Best wishes to you friend.
I'd just like to say that we can't possibly avoid future mistakes without examining our past failures. I'm a firm believer that history not only matters, but it's vitally important to moving forward successfully and dodging pitfalls.
I have never seen a press secretary represent the office of the president of the United States with such a lack of class. But it is indicitive of the entire administration, including the president himself. Say what you want about George W. Bush, but if his press secretary had done this sort of thing...he would have been fired.
It was not a joke, it was an attack. And thin skinned? I have never seen such thin skinned people as in this administration. I was never a fan of the Bush administration, but they handled public engagements with class. Give me an example of them attacking someone like this. I can't remember them ever even acknowledging their critics. Bush said he felt it was beneath the office to do so.

LMAO I hadn't thought of it as a hand prompter.

And Gibb's boss can't say anything without a teleprompter because he can't fit all those long winded speeches on his hand!

It was a joke. Bush's press secretaries did similar things and poked fun of Democrats too.
Being thin-skinned does not bode well for a life in politics.
