  • HELP!?! Does this work on REALLY long hair (down to the butt)? I know I should try it instead of asking, but I just wanted to know before I spend an hour on it... thanks!

  • @MichaelForever97 Look for videos by Ilovegerardo. She rolls her very long hair in Victory Rolls really easily. :)

  • @LisaFreemontStreet Thank you sooooo much!!! :D

  • cool good job

  • Loved it!!! You are the queen!!

  • In which other video can we see how the hair is made into pin curl? (the part we couldn't see)

  • The one called 'Poifect Pincoils'...

  • hummm

thank you very much for the quick answer!

I didn't find that video though...

  • It's the 2nd video that comes up if you type in pin curls in the search bar but i will send you a link.

  • I think the pin curl is the best way to make victory rolls. but you're like amazing with pin up hair i love you <33

  • Hi there! i love all your vids! I am a 17 year old college student in the UK currently producing a film set in the 1940's. What I wanted was your advice. I have four female characters in the film, what styles would you suggest?

    Many thanks! Molly-Hope

  • Lol success indeed, that smile is well deserved :-)

  • ha! My tutorial on tuesday will actually include this setting and style on both sides of the head. :)

  • where u get your book ? thats so cool

  • I'm sorry, I never saw this. :( I got the book on Amazon...I actually discuss it on a few videos.

  • Lovee It. What Is That Song Playing :) ???

  • Thanks! That's 'Tender Little Lucy' by the Domestic Bumblebees. :)

  • Soooo Beautiful! I can NEVER get mine to look that gorgeous!!

  • I dunno who gave thumbs down. However:: tuts means tutorials.

  • ha! Well whomever gave the thumbs down did it a noble reason, I gather. LOL But yes, I knew they meant 'tutorials'. Kinda sweet, actually.

  • you are so amazing....you helped me make my hair look amazing...your video are great. thank you so much!

  • I LOVE your tuts!

  • why thumbs down for that/????

  • per your message to vivienmcall its okay to use a lil molding cream if needed to hold the curl? my hair acts kinda wild.

  • If yours responds well to product, by all means use it. :)

  • i have long, straight, layered hair. If i don't curl like u did in the video, i can't get a victory roll? coz i tried many times last night and it did not seem to hold. Do you think the problem is that i didn't curl it?

Thanks so much for putting up this video. I am so fascinated by that era and always wondered how those movie stars get their hair to look like that. : )

  • The purpose of these Authentic Techniques is to show you how the stylists of the day accomplished the style...without the curls, it will not work properly, no. You may achieve something similar but it will not hold in the same way at all. Ladies of the forties always curled their hair. :)

  • amazing as always :)

  • Hi!!! Like all your videos: thumbs up!!! ; )

I got this problem, my hair´s lenght is above my shoulder... Is there any pin-up hairdo for short hair you can do?

    Thanks, you are awesome!!!

  • Thanks. Since my hair isnt short, it would be difficult for me to do an actual tutorial for short hair. However, most of these styles can be tailored to shorter hair so if there is a particular style you like, send me a message and I'll tell you how to achieve a similar look on your shorter hair. :)

  • i always love your new videos because the are authentic and still easy but this is my new fave thanks somuch

  • Alrighty-o I'll try that. Thanks :)

  • When I try to do pin curls i can never get my ends to stay in the middle of the pin curl. They always end up sticking out. Any suggestions??

  • That can't happen if you'r rolling them from the bottom up, instead of just wrapping them around your finger. Also, try using a 'putty' product, like the one by Garnier Fructis.

  • it looks nice !!!

  • LOVE it!!!

  • I wonder if you use a small amount of hair balm while you finger brush out those curls if it would help tame flyaways as your finger rolling it into the roll...I might try that :)

  • Yes it would. Strawberrykoivintage has great success w/ that. For some reason, my hair does not respond well to product and I end up having a strange mixture of frizz and limpness when I use product during the pincurling process. My video on pincurling discusses that option, however.

  • Wohoo, I'd love to try victory rolls. I'll put that on my 'to do' list ;)

  • oh my goodness! I just have to get that book. i saw it in your other video when you introduced it, but you just reminded me how bad I want it. Luv ya

  • So glad to see technical videos up!

  • loved it i just got a new hair cut so doing this do should be easier!

  • Cool! I'd used this method to roll my bangs but never thought to apply it to a side roll...I'll have to try that out!!

  • luuu huuuv the do!

  • fantastic! i probably will end up doing this tomorrow because my hair seems to do the reverse rolls a lot better with the pin curls that just sponge rolling it and this video just gave me an idea for a hair style tomorrow.

sweet song at the end, btw.

  • Great, Lisa, very interesting!

  • Really nice! Very useful videos! :D Thanks!
