@blackwhimsy it's quite a bit more than a homage, but this was common in the day. This is a fantastic Bionic Woman episode. It's obviously a merger/rip from 2001 and the less well known (but excellent) Colossus: The Forbin Project.

This is why the Bionic Woman remake series or any other 70s remake will never fly - our shows were base on CHARACTERS and FEELINGS not just special effects. Our shows had humanity. Except maybe Three's Company. ;)

Dear Sue, I agree - it will never be possible to remake the original Bionic Woman. Lindsay Wagner's character, her ability to communicate emotion and her sheer, natural beauty will make this series go on and on. It is magic beyond the special effects era of today. Iconic and classic.

I believe the failure of the new bionic woman show with michelle ryan was down to several factors the writers, producers, the writers strike all of them contributed to the shows failure. I think that if it had been allowed to run a full season it would have improved but hey we will never know. lindsey wagner is a godess please keep an eye on my youtube channel makeupmadeeasy ill be doing a lindsay inspired makeup look love her wonderful actress.I liked ryan but prefer wagner

Also the New Bionic Woman fail is because they put two shows into one show so stupidly. The Six Million Dollar Man and The First Bionic Woman. The put all the bionics of The Six Million Dollar Man and The Bionic Woman into the New Bionic Woman.

I dont personally think that the amalgemating of the two shows into jaime was the problem nope the main issue was that the certain key elements from the pilot were lifted from Alias ie sd6 = burket, jaime's fiance dies in pilot hello sydney. it was a bit samey samey. but i have to admit i still liked the show the reason the original was so sucessful was in its originality and humour it didnt take it self so seriously

I blame it on a brunette hairstyle and a lack of sound effects when the Bionics happened. Jamie Sommers having a brunette hairstyle is like Wonder Woman 2010 (the movie--or whatever that magical year will be) having a blond look. It just doesn't work.

Linsday Wagner brought humanity and warmth and incredible strength to her character (and I dont mean the bionic kind) in this show. She really made you root for her in all of her struggles. I loved this show. It was amazing for its time. With the technology available today, there was no excuse for the disaster that was Bionic Woman with Michelle Ryan. That was down to the writers and producers. Shame on you. You could learn something by referring back to the 70's !!!

@Steviebabe555 Amen! I saw an interview with Lindsay Wagner and when she was asked what she thought of it she replied "Well, It's not OUR show." Meaning it was so dark and different compared to Her version. She was right. I thought Michelle was fine, but the stories were too Dark. Not enough "Heart" as Lindsay played it!!

This was one of my favorite episodes

I have it on vhs tape recorded back in the 80's but the beginning was cut (I started the recording late) and the quality of the recording is poor. (It was recorded on a top loader vcr from 1981!) I love both parts where the door slams down on her leg and the part where she repairs her leg at the terminal.. I am a huge fan of androids and bionic stuff. I just love when the special effects teams get creative and try to show the inner workings
